- The Buffalo Bills made a pair of draft day trades, swapping picks with the Kansas City Chiefs and Carolina Panthers.
With the 28th pick, Kansas City selected WR Xavier Worthy, while Carolina picked WR Xavier Legette 32nd overall.
Buffalo still has a glaring need after what was a long night for Bills Mafia. In this video, a Bills fan reacts to the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft.

Personally, I don’t hate the trade downs. Just not a fan of handing Worthy to KC.
I was in total shock the Bills traded with KC but I wasn't surprised Bills moved down twice , sucks tho cause I had a draft party at my place ( which is still going) , o well do er all over again tomorrow nite 😊

@@ChillMix14 Interesting that people have been saying that for years. In high school and in college. He just keeps scoring touchdowns. Worthy will make people in KC forget about former speedster Tyreek Hill. At Texas, Sark used him to return kickoffs and punts, along with his starting duties at wide receiver.

Helping the Chiefs to gain the quickest wide receiver in the NFL was not a smart move.
As a Texas-ex, I watched Worthy. Not only can he catch the ball, but he is a terrific punt and kick-off return guy. Because of his speed, he is a threat to scored any time he catches the football. One reason his teammate, AD Mitchell, had such a great season was that Worthy was double teamed much during the 2023 season.
Yup, with the new kick return format he’ll be more valuable too.

Even it seems like nonsense for many people, I think it's strategical picking more players by going a little bit down. Because I saw many many talented players were still available even in the 7th pick. Of course for a Bills Fan it might be dissapointing to see all these. But I have a huge respect for the Bills Team as a Chiefs Fan. Because they are competiting with us really well. Every Bills playoff match i feel like its Bills year and we can't beat them. I dont see the Bills sitting still with soo many late round picks. I fully expect them to be trading up from 60 at some point. Pick 33 is also basically a late first round. Not mad at the moves but we really could have traded our 1st for a proven guy like Tee Higgins rather than take a shot in the draft for one of these 2nd tier WRs in this class. Maybe we dont even pick WR... who knows. Just gotta have some faith in Beane i guess! Go Bills!

If the Bills were smart, they would use the first pick in the second round to draft Texas A&M linebacker Edgerrin Cooper. He is one of the best defensive players in the 2024 draft. Had A&M performed better as a team, Cooper’s abilities would have gained much more attention.

I perceive, that the owner is in a major money crunch! He’s trying to get $$ or save lots of money for some unknown reason. Here’s my 4 reasons why:
1) Currently, he’s trying to sell minority share of the Bills.
2) Prior to draft, he had many high paid players re-work their contracts only to release many of them, then he dumped Diggs big salary & waived other high paid vets.
3) The reason they traded out of the 1st round was because he didn’t want to pay a rookie guaranteed millions (of an average of $3M to $9.5M
for 4 years.
4) Stocking up on late round picks, for the opportunity to draft quantity vs quality players, w/the hopes of restocking their depleted roster with bargain basement contracts and players (hoping to land late round jewels)….
The problem with this philosophy is that Brandon Bean’s draft record over the years has been awful (with the exception of Allen)! Read the article in Buffalo News Sports from yesterday regarding Bean’s draft history.
I don’t care what wide receivers you draft. If the Bills don’t rebuild their defensive line or get enough decent backups for their offensive line, they will be dead in the water.
Beane tricked two other teams into beneficial trades by talking about Buffalo’s need for wide receivers that the other teams wanted. Ladd and other good WRs are still out there.
There are plenty of receivers left on the board in a talented WR draft class AND it’s a possibility that they could acquire a different player via trade too.
The Dline and Oline are definitely positions that should be addressed in this draft class, but receiver is clearly still a need.
My only concern is Worthy joining KC, but how everything plays out. Could be great, could be bad. Only time will tell.

This draft was stacked w/1st talent (highly rated & graded players) at every position. Prior to Buffalo’s trades to move back they had 11 draft picks. I believe Buffalo is just poor at evaluating college prospects. Bean always want to give the impression that he’s wheeling & dealing pulling off all these major trades & deals. None of his moves (other than Allen & Diggs) has helped Buffalo.
Bean reminds me of a very poor card player in poker, spades or black jack. Who has been dealt a pretty good hand but always makes poor decisions.
Bean is always outsmarting himself trying to be so witty and smarter than others in his field.
Instead of using wisdom, understanding and past experiences like an Andy Reid staff & GM.
Somehow it worked well enough for four consecutive AFC East titles

Obviously the size difference is notable. Tyreek is thick. However, the size and potential to make plays is there for Worthy.
