Really well done, Eric! Love how your explanations are straight forward and easy to understand. And the reference to Peters. Great insights. Keep up the good work, bro!
The “RPO” Tua does best is what I call more of an HPO, than a traditional RPO, like Jalen Hurts or Lamar run. It’s much more similar to play action than RPO. It’s Handoff-Pass Option. Instead of Run-Pass Option.
🎯 When QC'ing the video before uploading, I actually think that the Giants one could be an RPO (or HPO) and that Tua is reading that seam defender and throwing the bubble to Tyreek as soon as he steps inside. But those are so hard to say for sure - so I left if as-is.
@@OLCoachSmith63 yea it’s hard to know for sure without actually being a part of the team and the offense with some of those details, because of how intricate the system is to begin with & then trying to keep up with all the minor adjustments they make to the plays as they go. If you aren’t in the room, it can definitely be a crap shoot of a guessing game with some of the minutia. Some of it is just kind of apparent and easier to keep up with the basis of what they are doing but trying to determine the exacts like is this supposed to be a fake handoff that’s just being sold really well, or is he actually just reading it out before he decides what he is doing. You’ll end up lost in the sauce. Which is part of the beauty of the system. Because that’s exactly how defenses feel about it too, but they have 0.3 seconds to read and react to it correctly, and no rewind button for when they make the wrong choice. At least we get one of those. 🤣🤣
I did actually post a video including a brief breakdown of Marcus Maye and an extended cut up. And I'll probably continue to grow that as we continue to add players. Potential targets (draft or FA) is tougher because it ends up feeling like I waste so much time on players that may never be on the team 🤣
@OLCoachSmith63 Mark Glowinski and how he might fit in Miami. I think he'd be cheap, he's played both Guard spots and moves well in space. I think his movement skills along with Brewer could make for some good screen plays. Maybe Butch can work out some pass pro problems. Running off the ball in this scheme along with the quick passing game could cover some stuff up too. Gregg Van Roten is the name being floated around alot as a possible guard for Miami. He'd be a good one too. Maybe some FA Centers? Thanks man!
I enjoy the technical details. Keep making these.
Thanks - glad you're enjoying!

Love your content man. I'd love to see your player breakdowns too. Current players or free agent possibilities for Miami.

Is there a particular current player that you'd like to see a breakdown on?

@@OLCoachSmith63 loved the Maye video. I think Miami got a solid player in him.
@@jasonstamps4013 Thanks, I agree!
