The lack of trust between QB-WR speaks volumes with that quote from Carr alone. A QB doesn't need to say that to someone he's going deep with. Only someone who's afraid to lose their job would say that.
@@Strummie Well i mean the Chiefs did have 2 tds taken off the board in the first half that had nothing to do with the Raiders which cost them 11 points...
Carr was saying that he’s going to put it in a spot where only Ruggs can get it. Literally the ball will either go to Ruggs or nobody. Ruggs just has to make the catch.
I wouldn’t call that throw a “launch”.. He underthrew it by a good 5 yards.. Ruggs had to almost come to a stop and wait for it.. Carr’s just lucky Ruggs had his man beat by so much already he could afford to wait for the ball.
Great game! Let's look at the difference between last season and this season and take a look at how this season could play out... bare with me. ... 1st of all, I would completely dismiss the way we played Last season, especially after week 6. The fact that Gruden had planned to throw the ball deep to Antonio Brown and Terrell Williams. Obviously AB imploded and Williams was slow because of his feet. Not to mention that we had injuries in the O line. That took away any deep threat possibility and forced us to dink and dunk. That's why we used Gafford and when he broke off a few of his deep routes early when Carr was looking for him, and like a lot of good QBs, if the QB doesn't trust his receivers to go after the ball, they won't throw him the ball or even look his way. The 2 games we lost this season we had a lot of injuries to key players, but now that we have most of them back, we look and play completely different! Gruden has wanted to and tried to take deep shots, but we didn't have the players to give Carr the time to stand in the pocket and wait for his receivers to get down field and worse our RTs & LGs were beaten so badly that Carr couldn't find any room in the pocket to move around to buy the time because the LEs & DTs were literally on top of him and in his face so he could neither step up in the pocket nor move to his right... now that we have Brown back and Good is able to play in his natural position Carr has the time to allow his receivers to get down field and open and we see how explosive that Gruden wants to be and wanted to be Last year! As for our young and almost completely new players on defense, we finally saw them play up to their potential in the 2nd half of the Queefs game, only allowing 1 td and confusing and frustrating Maholmes, mixing up the coverages and getting after him with constant pressure, nearly forced a sack/fumble and nearly picking off a few of his passes and nearly getting a pick 6! Guenther had wanted to run his diverse and complicated scheme last season, but like he said, injuries forced him out of calling the plays that he wanted to call in certain situations and most of the games for that matter last season, as well as this season when we had the backups filling in for the starters that were injured. Now that most of our starting defense is healthy and playing and have had some experience(only 4 games until this game) in his system he's able to mix it up and call the defenses that he knew would be effective! I'm definitely looking forward to seeing our defense continue to grow, improve and play better and better together as the season unfolds! And hopefully Heath, Vickers, Robertson, Jones, Smith and Johnson will get more and more play time. Because they all played very well for us last Sunday! Keep in mind that, yes Maholmes was impatient, but we caused it and in doing so, we did something that no other team had been able to do to him and that was hold him to just 1 td in the 2nd half! And we beat him at his own game, as well as giving him the largest margin of defeat in his career! Previously he had only lost by 7 points over a year ago and it really should have been a 9 point loss if it wasn't for the missed extra point, which was the only missed of the season for Carlson. Mayock is the man. Him and Gruden are building a super team. Most of the talent we currently have will probably be on rookie deals until 2022. When you catch only two passes but you still get 19.8 fantasy points, you know you did something right
1:38 "Roll Tide, baby"
Ruggs be really fast. Roll Tide
Raiders need to feature this speedster more in 2021….Gruden has to come up w/ways to get him the ball & make plays w/his speed.
The Raiders are a well oiled offensive/defensive machine and band of friends and buddies
who are woven together to bring about one outcome and that is a "W" !!!!!!
Ruggs will be a top 3 receiver next season
John Madden said in an interview that I saw once, that before every game started Cliff ranch will come up to him and say coach I can beat him deep. Madden would be like how do you know you can beat him deep the game hasn't even started
It makes me so upset that here Ruggs clearly gains Carr's trust but as the season went on Carr ran from him like a stranger. Man!!!😔
Henry Ruggs III and Derek Carr are going to ball out this next year
In the 60’s they had #21 Speed kills in 2020 They have #11 Speed Kills.
Rugg burn 🔥
Henry ruggs go fast
Dude is fast. Defenses better stop stacking the box or pay the price.
ruggs been on my rader when he was in bama
Only good 1st round receivers raiders have drafted in my lifetime, Ruggs and Cooper
Edit: I was born in 96 we have only drafted 3 WR’s in the first since then, DHB was absolute garbage
You saying only but that’s 2 out of 3.. that’s pretty good
Mayock is the man. Him and Gruden are building a super team. Most of the talent we currently have will probably be on rookie deals until 2022. That's two more first round picks and who knows what else. Within that duration I could honestly see the Raiders having a top five offense and top five defense with Mayock scouting talent in the draft and in free agency. I wont jinx anything though, but the potential is definitely there.
Mayock is a genius. I at first was mad he didn’t draft lamb but now seeing what ruggs can do and how he stretches the field, I’m not complaining lol.
hes nothing like tyreek. hes taller, i think stronger and probably faster. hes got underrated catching ability too.
Ruggs III is on point so far.....gotta get used to him wearing seabass number tho...
Yo! Derek Carr with that Roll Tide. Okay 👌
Such a damn shame
Bryan Edwards will be good too #89
1:27 - 2:08
Please do one for the cowboys giants game
Just pointing out, did anyone else see how ripped Tyreek's arms were?
Welcome to the party!!
You heard that? "We'd beat ya Tyrek you cant catch this guy"
Whats that first song they played
To be fair, if I'm playing against the Raiders on third down, I'm putting 12 guys on Renfrow
"Welcome to the party young man"
Now y’all wanna give him his props but just last week couple of u dopes we’re saying that he was gonna be another marquis Goodwin
That there is the Chemistry DC needs with his Top WR. I can get be behind them, OK, ok, If I throw you the ball its either you or nobody ok? You or nobody. OK. I will say again. Ruggs, Nelson, Renfrow and then Bryan and Zay. Bryan has not shown a lot when he has been out there but his body size and make big mismatches with a safety or a 4th CB.
bryan kind of reminds me of a crabtree bolden hybrid
We found the new deon sanders primetime Henry rugs
“How Henry Ruggs III ran down the Chiefs” because he is fast😂lol
As sound a W as I've seen the Raiders have vs KC in years.
Henry Ruggs Go Fast!
The first of many!
Now give him more than a couple chances per game plz
Henry “Jetpack” Riggs is what Imma call him from now on
That would be embarrasing cuz his last name is ruggs!
Henry Ruggs the third needs to get more involved in the Raiders offense starting tomorrow @ Atlanta Falcons. RAIDERS NATION!!!
