we were lucky to win that Colts game. My brother was at that game and he said the stadium was so quiet- you can here a pin drop. It was as if all the air was sucked out. I was in buffalo wild wings during that time full of other Raiders fans and as soon as Carr went down, everybody stopped moving and talking. I was at the Buffalo Wild wings right across the street from Fresno State too- Carr's alma mater. So everyone in there was a Carr fan, regardless of what team they rooted for.

Now looking back in March 2022, Carr is the only one left from that 2016 season. Carr has been disrespected because he worked for an incompetent owner and head coach ever since 2016.
Amari Cooper is now with the Cleveland Browns, Khalil Mack is with the LA Chargers, and most everybody else is retired or getting close, but Derek Carr is about to explode on the scene later in 2022 as a true MVP candidate and future hall of famer with Davante Adams playing with him...

Before we were the most feared division in the NFL. now the team has become a joke and man i would have love to see these Raiders face my current Chargers. This rivalry is a great one. Damn, that was a great season. Broke my heart and the heart of everyone in the Coliseum that day in Oakland when he broke his leg. It was the most somber, soul crushing, damn near funeral procession like walk from the stadium to the BART station I'd ever experienced after a Raider game.
I have high hopes for 2020, Carr, The Las Vegas Raiders, Coach Gruden and Raider Nation have a lot of positive energy going into the NFL Draft and upcoming season.

im a fresno state fan so of course i had carr as my #1. already knew his potential n saw what kind of player he was that everybody else couldnt see when he was coming out for the draft. bortles, teddy, n manziel were just qbs media liked to hype up before draft day like any other qb in other drafts. that's why carr didnt have any where near the spotlight they were having. was over look because he went to fresno state, played in weak mwc competition, n was david Carr's brother. happy to see him making his naysayers eat crow now lol

Carr's mechanics and release are beautiful to watch. He probably has the best fundamentals in the NFL. He can throw bullets when he has to but most of his throws make the ball soar gracefully, like an eagle.
