Done this twice on a laptop first time worked for 6+ months with heavy use 2nd time I did it lasted for 3 weeks, but I forgot to max fans this time so ymmv but if done right this works!
I had the same experience with my 2006 MBP, however second GPU reflow lasted about 4 months. Disabling the AMD GPU on a 2010 -2011 MBP and using just the Intel graphics is probably best.
ya i tried this and it worked for about 15 minutes after i put it back together before the macbook pro locked up and i had to hard power it off and do the fix i did first which was disable the gpu via software! granted i only baked it at 350 for 6 minutes.. you are better off to use dosdude 1 gpu disable method and upgrade from high sierra to catalina with dosdude 1 patcher or use open core patcher for big sir or newer..... the reason why you should use a patcher to upgrade the os is so brightness and sleep mode will work without having to solder crap to the logic board...
