#4 watch the video on sizing.
They can be returned if the sizing is off as long as they are not worn outside OR oiled.
I ordered one size down from my shoe size and they fit perfectly.

I’m a little nervous about my boot size, have some on order! I’m a 12 in shoes 11-1/2 in througho goods and I sized out to a 10-1/2 in J.K. boots. We’ll have to see when they come in the next several weeks.

11 1/2 on the Brannock and my 300X's in 10 1/2 fit just fine. You should be good to go.

Kinda bummed. Just got my 300X and the both boots have two speed laces digging painfully into my inner ankle bone (the ball part of my ankle) 😢 will try thicker socks but I’m not holding out much hope.

I had the same issue with mine. I finally made a pair of kilties to sit under the speed hooks

Darn Tough are my favourites socks, not only they are very comfortable but they are also great to control perspiration and the odours that come with it. If you want to protect your investment from bad odours, wool socks and shoe trees are the way to go. If you use insoles, change them when they start to smell before the smell transfers to the leather.
The ultimate way to protect your investment is to have two pairs and to alternate between them, making sure you always wear a dry pair of boots, but not everyone can afford two pairs of boots, especially in this price range. If you can, you are lucky, and you will prolong the life of your boots by wearing them only when the leather is in optimal condition avoiding tears, deformation and pungent odours of a wet leather boot. Water and humidity are detrimental to the structure of the boots, that’s why we need to take care of our boots. If you are like me, you don’t like to babysit your boots, so in order to take care of them without being judgmental, my trick is to listen to my inside voice telling me that I don’t take care of my boots, I take care of my investment and of my feet.
I’m sorry if I sound pompous, is just that I really love a nice pair of boots and would like everyone to get the most out of their purchase. Or maybe I’m just cheap and want my boots to last forever…

Also if you can’t afford 2 pairs. Using a boot dryer no mater the season makes sure they are ready for the next day.

They can effect sizing depending on the type of insole. Give our customer service team a call or email at general@jkboots.com and they can get you dialed in with the right size 👍

I lost a bit of faith in you now.
First and foremost, your socks should be wool. Cotton, polyester, and most other sock materials will hold moisture and give bacteria a good environment for growth and smell, whereas wool is antiseptical. Wool retains heat even if it's wet, the others don't. Not recommending wool for sock wear is like not recommending leather for a vamp. There's just no good reason for it.
Furthermore, you should always wear two pairs of socks. This is to make sure that any friction happens between the two pairs of socks rather than on your skin. Having said that, the first sock should be as thin as you can get, and then you can choose the thickness of your next sock based on how cold it is or how snug you like the fit.
But the boots are always impressive!
