- Are you an artist who wants to protect their art style from AI? Is it keeping you from posting online. Well, now there’s an answer for that in the web app called Glaze. It uses cloaking technology to protect your artwork from being scraped. Watch for a quick run down of how simple it is to use. Thank you!
Art thieves mad their actions have consequences. 🤭If we don't get the law to protect our art, we protect it ourselves from lazy people and greedy companies.
Yeah, it was inevitable.
Here, here.
Well of you think about it, they took all the crappy customers! Yay!
Perhaps we start an art gallery where no pictures are allowed. You could only view the art in person. It would never be digitized. You would end up having to screen people for any electronic devices though.
my problem with glazing, is that it works (at least on my pc) in images 600x600 or below. If I try to glaze an artwork even 1080 x 1080 the program crashes
I haven’t had that problem yet. I have heard people have some issues with it.
@@brianvasquezart unfortunately it happens every single time, I haven’t had any luck after trying time and time again 😭
@@astramaeve I’d contact the glaze project, they might have answers for you.
Hell yes!
Amazing!
i want someone to actually test these out, not only the examples they gave
I did. I use it all the time. Lots of artists do.
@@brianvasquezart send me your glazed images and ill show you how it doesnt stop the ai
Is there a difference in the image? Can you tell us?
the difference is as described, not something noticeable from what I can tell. Just like how we cannot see the ultra violet light in flowers but a bee can, we cannot see the glaze but an AI can. Only difference I can think of (as someone who hasn't used it) would be file size
There is a slight difference. It depends on the intensity you use but that gives you more protection. Flat colors don’t do as well because against a flat color you can make small distinctions in patterns from the glazing. This is only for art you post anyway. On painterly art it isn’t so noticeable.
There is no immediately noticeable difference between glazed and unglazed images. AI recognizes stylized images by examining the colors, style, and other factors. A glazed image changes the image just enough for AI to perceive it as a different style. While keeping it mostly the same for us humans.
What do you think about screenshot stolen photo?
@@paesaggidipoesia It sucks but there is very little you can do. Artists post low res images, add watermark to make it harder for thieves to steal but ultimately they can still steal it. It takes more work for them which is merely a choke on it move. Glaze does add some artifacts depending on the style and intensity you choose so no one will want to work that hard or very little to just steal it. Glaze only protects your style from being used to make a model on your style, not theft. Again, water mark, low res image and glazes artifacts make it quite the choke on it hassle. Never post high res images.
How do you use it? I clicked on the button on Cara and it just downloaded some zip file to my drive
You might have to download “winrar” and the. Once that’s downloaded try and open the glaze program. You can also probably probably just use the webglaze app off their website. Look up the glaze project. The link should be at top left of page
I would use it but my gpu is not strong enough
There is a mobile version called webglaze. It should run on your phone.
@@brianvasquezart really? thank you so much for letting me know!
@@brianvasquezarthow accessible is the webglaze invite process? I'm truly just starting out and don't think my portfolio would be approved.
I tried glaze on windows desktop for a very small image, but similarly didnt have enough gpu for the rest of my work. Cant download NVDIA. Any workaround would be helpful, thank you!
But how do I use it😭 I downloaded it and I have no idea how to use it, I selected an image to try but nothing happened
Are you using desktop or mobile?
@@brianvasquezart desktop
The question is: Do I need to run glaze even for arts uploaded on Cara?
I believe they have it built in. I think they have an option to run it there. I haven’t joined the app yet.
Can it bypass yes screenshot and upscale it xD
Glaze has addressed any recent attacks and is already working on a fix and will always like they always have. Cry harder.
In a discussion about stealing art it would have been amazing if you could have sited you source in the description
Funny
Search up "the Glaze Project" and "Nightshade project" you may be able to find the site there.
If a product is from a USA's University I'm pretty sure they are stealing something from the users
What specifically makes you so sure?
@@brianvasquezart Because grinfos are and always were pirates, stealing from wherever they can... basic empire actitud
Yes, please, keep the mid art styles out.
You’re so mad 😂
@@brianvasquezart no, it’s actually kinda amusing to see all of the same takes on the same topic. Get those views! I like hearing opposing views but sometimes it gets comical.
I feel the same from the opposing view.
@@brianvasquezart Yup, expected from the toxic person with AI word in their nickname 🤭
I want to break the glaze protection, we need to progress, not cry that tech is better than people
Sounds like you’re crying
How would any individual progress if there is no adversity?
this is dumb. if people dont want their stuff sucked up by A.I. why should they not be able to opt out? It has nothing to do with the progression of technology. And if you are silly enough to think A.I. Art generators are better than people... sigh.
-Guy who's entire channel is based on AI image generation
Consent, transparency, accountability. All that jazz. It should be opt in.
Huh
