Starscream and Bumblebee are actually allies in this pack as in the game it's Decepticons and Autobots working together with humans to save the world from the quintesons
Nice to see the Quintessons getting some love as a main antagonist again!

@@silhouettoofaman2935 No that’s just how Starscream’s eyes are. From what else we’ve seen, Shockwave still has his yellow eye, Soundwave still has his red visor, and Starscream is still characterized as the usual Starscream. Starscream just has blue eyes for the sake of having blue eyes; kind of like how he has blue eyes in Earthspark.

I always forget that Thew’s original handle (Barutazaru) came from Armored Core. It makes me happy to know that one of my favorite RUclipsrs also likes my all time favorite franchise

Given what we know of the game, this isn't a VS pack, it's a team up pack.
BB and Starscream going in together against the main bad guy.
I will admit the toys look great, but the game lost me the minute they announced it was going to be a Freemium Live Service with a Battlepass. My only hope is that, with all the recent Live Service game failures, the delays are so they can rework those elements out.
Unfortunately the business tycoons running the gaming industry seem incapable of learning the lesson. Warner Bros just announced that in response to the failure of the live service Suicide Squad game they shall be... shifting production away from AAA singleplayer games towards MORE live service games. They are literally just straight up stupid. Hopefully Hasbro are smarter than that, but one can never underestimate corporate stupidity.
Not a gamer, I hope that the storyline is good so I can have a nice cutscene movie like The cybertron games or Hades
Honestly, in any other reality a Transformers game like Warframe would be my dream game. But I just know it'd have to be goty material out of the gate to survive
I mean live service can be good or bad. We just have to hope they do it more like Halo Infinite, or Helldivers 2, than something like COD. Where when you buy a pass you get access to it forever. Hopefully it’s also cheap like Helldivers and only 10$ a pass and has good free content also.

He lost his Rights for Walking, now he's essentially "Custom fodder" for other characters
The Skybound comics and the Netflix Siege series both did numbers on Skywarp. I do NOT like that trend. On the other hand, it would be kinda hilarious to find Skywarp in the game, limping with a bunch of missing parts and going "I still function!" on the players.
I feel like we need to tell everyone about the Skybound comics.
I am very pleasantly surprised but fear that having any attachments to any character may be a dangerous game 😂
@@olyrhys8724 The writers had the actual ball bearings to snuff Bumblebee from the very start. If no one has plot armor, it makes for an interesting story right out of the gate. Heck, even Optimus might get the kibosh this time, and be replaced by his long lost cousin Fred Primehouser from Texas.

My only real gripe about Starscream is that the headsculpt is lacking in his usual Magnificent Bastard energy. Although I guess it's not the normal versions so maybe that won't be his thing.

It isn't just the jet mode that gives Armada Starscream vibes; his head and back kibble look eerily similar, too. And that Bumblebee just looks great. If the solo movie had gone for a more G1-style Bumblebee in terms of personality, this would have been the perfect design for it.
Idk, i kinda get the vibes they’re working together?? And starscream / bumblebee as a duo WORKS for me, worlds friendiest friend and worlds shittiest shitheel is just AMAZING, little bit of IDW love but i imagine this is much more of a classic starscream

According to the trademark information molded into bumble bee looks like these two where sitting in a warehouse since 2020
I hope that, when the inevitable minimum of Thundercracker and Skywarp repaints happen, they don't just boringly and predictably ignore the asymmetrical moulding and just go full G1 with their decos, I want them to also have random patches of mismatched colors, even if that doesn't end up happening in-game because Screamer having so much black AND a random patch of blue make me worried about his brothers.
I have a funny story.
When the trailer first dropped at the 2022 Game Awards, my friend asked for some predictions or some stuff we’d like to see. I said “I’m gonna pull something out of my ass and say a Transformers Game.” When it got announced we were all freaking out!

That yellow car bit unlocked some childhood memories I'd forgotten
My take is that all Transformers characters will start out all patchworky and ducktaped together, but by playing and leveling them up, the player will get closer to their classic looks.
Though I, for one, would like if they pushed this "broken down" asymmetry even further.

@5:55 I think of this as the _Twisted Metal_ mode. At least in the early titles, double machine guns (with unlimited ammo!) were a universal inclusion for all vehicles.
Oh Hasbro, *why haven't you given us vehicular combat games?!* It works for Transformers, G.I. Joe, MASK, and works well enough with many other of your IPs...
Is it weird how excited I am about a Starscream who's cockpit chest becomes the jet mode's actual cockpit?
The focus on Bee’s grounded vehicle mode and starscream’s rush-job unpainted armour really got the cogs turning in my head. Can’t you just imagine yourself bouncing around in that passenger seat, white-knuckle gripping something for dear life, watching the steering wheel move by itself as Bumblebee floors it over the rubble and wreckage? Can’t you just see a wounded and embittered Starscream brooding oddly silently as the racket of the thankless human technicians desperately patching him up fills the air?

Idk why, but I love that starscream has butterfly wings. With the tail fins being on the back. It's a clean silhouette
I feel like I’ve wanted this for decades: fan art designs that feel like they were made by fans of everything not just G1
These toys feel like figures from 5 years away, but in a good way. They’re large, complex, and not terribly compromised.

The stars ream head screams cybertron, the shoulders are straight energon, the boots are definitely animated, the arms are more in line with prime, the wings and chest are distcintly armada, and of course the g1 intake shoulders. What a kickass mold.
The missmatched null rays/cannons are like a nod to cybertron starscreams gunblades
Reactivate Bumblebee the Ace Rimmer of Bumbelbee's, what and image that creates. Nice one Thew, nice one! I salute you!
It’s like they combined the aesthetics from the last 2 movies and the war for cybertron games to make these molds. Honestly they’re really good.

Been watching and enjoying your videos for ages. I just got into Transformers this month and this two pack was my first. Their robot modes won me over instantly and they were quickly followed by Rise of the Beasts Wheeljack (not a fan of the transformation but love how both the robot and alt mode look) and the Legacy Bulkhead (the square one). Your passion and excitement for Transformers has helped me reignite my love of collectibles and my collection of Transformers, GI Joe and Marvel Legends has been steadily growing. Collection 2.0 will be even bigger and better than my original one I had to sell years ago. Thank you for the inspiration to follow my passions.
Since Vangelous review Reactivate Soundwave & Optimus Prime pack, was logical for Thew to review this set.
It's always nice to see toys of familiar stars that somehow manage to make me not hate the return of familiar stars.
Reactivate Starscream would make the best ever Slipstream retool.
And Reactivate Bee would make a really good retool into Action Master Kick-Off.

The Reactivate line kinda has that mid-to-late 2000s near future Video Game grit if you catch my drift.

Great video as always. I saw these on the shelf at a local Target and just dismissed them as 2nd tier rubbish. To be fair, it is probably because I saw the Soundwave + Optimus Prime 2-pack first and that one is super hit-and-miss. I might have to get this Bumblebee + Starscream 2-pack, though. This might be Bumblebee's best alt mode ever!
On an unrelated note, I always love the music clips you use during transformation. In fact, I might like your band's (bands') music even more than your TF videos? I think I just realized today what Rogue Limb reminds me of: Fudge Tunnel! Personally, I loved Fudge Tunnel, so hopefully you consider that a compliment. LOL.

100% agree with you. I love both of these and just got Soundwave today (who I also LOVE!). I got the gap fillers for Starscream from eBay and he's now a 10 In my book.

Got to be honest, I've never, ever, had any interest in Bumblebee but this is definitely a very cool version. Love its hardcase chunkiness...not to mention his red eyes. Noice!!!
I'm totally all in for these. While Gamers Edition subjectively dropped the ball big time on most of the WFC updates, Reactivate with only 4 figures thus far with a game still seemingly in the works have turned out a lot better than expected or anticipated. Only have the Prime/Soundwave so far, but definitely need to get the Bee, Starscream at some point. Bumblebee is imaginative, fun and solid, and Starscream probably the best seeker mold we've see in ages. Would love to see some G1 recolors of this mold.
I lowkey hope this Starscream gets retooled into Animated Starscream. I saw a digibash of that and really loved how he looked

These look kinda neat but I really hate all the black on Starscream. If they got rid of most it and unified the color scheme, I'd pick it up.

I instantly feel in love with this starscream once I got him in hand. What a fantastic figure! Such incredible articulation, deep joints and an absolute stunning paintjob!

My expectations for the game are lowered into a shallow grave, as well they should be. Hype just leads to disappointment. The game should prove itself worthy to us, not the other way around.
That doesn't matter though, because I bought this 2 pack and it's amazing. I bought it mostly for Starscream, as I love the design of both modes. This is probably my favorite version to date. Bumblebee was a surprise hit though. Great design and clever, complex transformation. They are must-haves.
Really want to customize that Starscream into a Starscream-Waspinator hyrbrid...
My only real complaint about this set is the sheer amount of modding I had to do on Starscream to get his tabs and panels to sit flush. Otherwise he's a mousetrap ready to spring open.
Both the 2 packs are friggin awesome. Really love the Starscream and the Optimus
I still hold out for a Devastation part 2.

I only got Starscream (coz a friend really REALLY wanted Bee and ONLY Bee, while I wanted Scream)...and Primus, he DESTROYS every argument defending the Earthrise one, and is just in general an extremely amazing G1-ish Starscream!
THIS is the terrestrial Starscream that future G1 toys need to emulate more, and not the 20+ year old Classics.
Going by color patterns it looks a lot like Thundercracker and Skywarp were salvaged for useable parts to rebuild Starscream.
I 100% agree with your review here! This is one sub-line that I am completely down for. Even if the game never appears, or (possibly worse) is absolute garbage, I want Hasbro to continue with these figures. I even like the 2-pack packaging! Give me a Megatron/Sideswipe pack or Grimlock/Shrapnel pack or something like that!
I get the 'Cobbled from Kibble' rebuild style but yeah, I would LOVE to see that Seeker Mold in full "original" colours.

Two of my favorite formers?! I am here for this. Love Bumblebee, however that Starscream figure is absolutely marvelous.
That Starscream really does look special. I wouldn't be surprised if those were Skywarp's parts being used on him to repair damage. Like he wouldn't just take them for himself. I'm hoping we see these come around again later cos I do not have the spare funds for them right now.

I want to like them, they are nearly perfect hybrids of the major eras of Transformers... but I've never liked asymmetry, and if I got them I'd have to paint them at least a little bit to match
Yeah, Rimblebee. Definitely the first one.
The real "This is Bumblebee wearing non-Beetle cosplay" vibe comes from the exposed rear engine. As for Screamer - I am _not_ excited for the Seeker Repaint Tango. Starscream's mold is _unique_ for this line. Unless there's a whole raft of seeker parts sitting in a Hasbro warehouse waiting to be remixed into the characters we love without knowing (yet), a re-paint of Starscream will be an obvious repaint, and not a different character.
Damn it you've made me want these guys now.
Now I want a Transformer named Bumrimmer. I don't know what it would be, but I bet it would be grand.
