I live in Germany, which is apparently the second biggest pork eating country in the world, after China. Because pork is so abundant here, the McRib is a regular menu item you can get all year round in German McDonalds restaurants. German McDonalds did have special promotions and time limited specialties all the time throughout the 80s, 90s and early 2000s, but that stopped maybe 20 years ago. Back then they had "Africa Weeks", "Asia Weeks", "Mexican Weeks" and so on and they always had interesting, themed food items during those promotions. Now they always do the same, which is a "alpine" themed promotion where you can get burgers with a hash brown on them, fried Swiss cheese balls and cranberry sauce. It is really boring, minimum effort stuff and totally uninteresting to me. First of all, I'm not going to McDonalds or any restaurant to eat hash browns and secondly, the combination doesn't make sense to me in a burger. It is depressing how both McDonalds and Burger King just consistently got worse over the last 2 decades here in Germany. They don't innovate anymore and don't provide anything special or exciting, they just cut costs and streamline their menu by throwing stuff out. Burger King used to have a special promotion burger I really loved, the "King Hawaii", which consisted of a long bun (like a McRib) with 2 regular meat patties on it, 2 slices of grilled pineapple and a tart, slightly sweet mustard sauce. I loved it, but they didn't offer it in 20 years.
I remember when I was a kid they had the rib sandwich at school once in a blue moon, it was so delicious not even McDonald’s could replicate it
👍👍👍
Looks good I will get it a try 😊
