You do not have a better i.q than others for spotting the differences as majority are so simple a 7 year old can do it...They do this to get views and it works.. More so for the average viewer/participant its a time killer and its good clean fun for all ages,so no harm done...Like you said it could also help many people pay more attention so maybe its worth a few i.q points lol..
I have learned to spot the difference in less than 3 seconds. It is very simple. Cross your eyes so you over lay the 2 images into one . The differences jump out.

It's a nice game for us, someone over 60s. Yet it doesn't relate to IQ. I can spot all of them within 15 sec. I would say I have good observation and am very alert but not high IQ.
