That's a very nice plant and you have inspired me to look out for this. My brother enjoys his grasses especially Quaking grass but I've never been as keen as him. I'm coming around now and can see the lovely movements. I didn't realise that there were so many different varieties of grass. xxx

That's great Wendy, it's such a graceful grass. If your brother has it, it divides quite easily! I'm a big lover of grasses, mainly because they compliment other perennials so well and most look good throughout the winter. Piet Oudolf inspired me to use more of them. Take care Wendy xxx

Nice grass. I really struggle with placing grasses is the garden. Earlier in the year I bought a stipa tenufolia and just keep moving it around trying to find the best spot and not finding it!! Thanks Paul

They can be difficult to place. We grow them mostly with perennials where they can intermingle. They also look better when planted in groups or swathes. Piet Oudolf changed my opinion on grasses as he has designed some truly stunning planting schemes. Thanks Suzanne.

Hi there ! Interesting grass, I only tried stipa and carex until now. I wonder, what is the shrub or small tree behind you, next to the hydrangea ? The leaves remind me of cercis but they seem less heart shaped

Do you mean the plant in the black pot behind me next to the pink hydrangea? It's another hydrangea, 'Annabelle'. The leaves are quite similar to Cercis.

I love this grass. How long have you been growing this one ? I can only ever find 9cm pots. I wish somewhere had more established ones available.

It's such a lovely grass but slow to grow. We got the two in this video from a garden centre but the ones planted in the stone pots were from one 9cm divided into two a few years back.

Thank you. I need to learn to be more patient 😅
