The results showed I was telling the truth except one question where part of the question was true but part was a lie and I could only answer yes or no and not explain that the answer was yes and no. So I hesitated and had to choose one or the other. So it may not actually show you are lying, but it can indicate stress associated with the question which can indicate truth or lie. The David's were so good at getting at Max I would expect they have other victims (that they likely attacked but didn't kill) They knew how to befriend the family first to gain the mother's trust and get access. I'm sure she thought the outing would be a chance for Max to have something similar to father-son time that he would have been missing since his father's death. I'm sure she felt the pressure of a teenage boy not wanting to spend every minute with his mom and thought 45 minutes apart would be fine. 14 years of cherishing and protecting a child destroyed by monsters. To lose her husband and then son like that and get not justice must be beyond agony.

Exactly. It's a motorized vehicle on the vast ocean. However, I do blame the accompanying Aunt more than the mother. The Aunt was there to help the mother, who had lost her husband and may have not been all together mentally yet. The Aunt should have said absolutely not. If I had been there as an Uncle, I do not care what the actual parent said, I would have told the boy no. I would have even been rude if need be, and said flat out. You are an adult man. You barely know this boy. What are your real intentions. That alone would have made the man say never mind. Someone just needs to express some suspicion of the situation. Or the family should have said we will all go, or no one will go.

Older than 55? What does that matter?. Max should not have been allowed to go off with any stranger. Not even female. Females have often procured children for men. Even though most abuse and molestation occurs at the hands of a family member or family friend or "trusted" institution, like a church, or boy scouts or a doctor for any olympic team, or any position of power or guidance over a child, it also occasionally happens, and more likely ends in death, when the monster is a stranger.

Anyway they got talking to my parents and then asked them if they could take me out for the day, it was myself that said No to going anywhere with them and that I would only talk or sit with them when my parents were near me. They did understand. To cut a long story short, we all became really good friends and met their parents when we all got back home to the UK. They were very trustworthy and thankfully everything was just fine. But to every parent out there, if a person seems ok and friendly enough, please never trust them to take your child off alone as that person is a stranger and something awful happens. I blame the parents for this. No way in hell should you let your child be a complete stranger on a vacation or anyplace else. Just absolutely crazy. 🤦🏿‍♂️🤷🏿‍♂️

Yes, the mother made a mistake to trust strangers, but she is not the one that took the child’s life.

Interesting how many of you men/boys find contempt for the mother but not a word about your fellow man who obviously out-played the mother and did worse to the son. You need to think about your priorities dude.

@@diannew6066 All people are born to a mother with or without an absent father. So, everyone should be concerned about the quality of parenting in society. However, the fact is that the majority of single parents are mothers. There is an expectation of a single parent to be twice as protective of his or her children. Intact nuclear families have the same amount of responsibility to protect their children, too, but each parent shares half of that duty with the other spouse. Not to negate this mother's responsibility to protect her children, but she was recently widowed. Her mindset of a vacationing poodle had not changed to that of a guard dog, yet.

Joren Vandersloot needs a cellmate. Aruba is not on my bucket list. It’d probably be the last entry.
