Lord Jesus Christ, Son of The Living God, Please Have Mercy on me, a wretched sinner. ☦️🛐
I realized a couple months back that I was constantly asking the lord for favors like an over cast day, a short work schedule, more money, stupidly insignificant stuff. I remember realizing, “Wow, I ask a lot and what do I give back?” I’ve always been a Christian but the type who doesn’t go to church, pray before dinner or read the bible. But I told myself that I didn’t want to be ungrateful and I listened to the audio book version of the Book of Job all the way to Deuteronomy/Psalms/Numbers (As far as I’ve gotten so far and I want to make sure I understand what I’m reading).
Listening and taking to heart what the gospel says has given me an absolute change in perspective, especially in terms of gratitude. Ever since I started reading I’ve noticed my life change for the better. Good things are happening all around me and I can only see one reason why.
I love you Lord with all my heart!
The lord is your father it is okay to ask the lord for favors just make sure to pray thank him he is your father does a father not wish to spoil and give their child everything? A father also wants to make their child stronger and teach them lessons to be self sufficient and strong through trials. Through hardships the lord teaches and tests our strength and resolve, and our commitment and faith to come to him for your problems. Do not feel guilty for asking the lord for simple insignificant things just be sure to be faithful strong and thank him for over cast days or short work schedules as long as these requests align with His will and are made with a humble and sincere heart God be with you. Philippians 4:6-7
and the change and improvement youve made is amazing reading the bible and even praying is some if not the hardest part of being christian good habits usually become routine but that is usually not the case for prayer and reading the bible the enemy stops us and tries their hardest to keep that from happening even Saints struggled with prayer like Saint Catherine of Siena. If you do not feel like praying, you have to force yourself. The Holy Fathers say that prayer with force is higher than prayer unforced. You do not want to, but force yourself. The Kingdom of Heaven is taken by force - St. Ambrose of Optina. Keep going brother may God be with you.
You discovered something many Christians don't realize for most of their lives. Instead of chasing worldly things and trying to work our way to God through comfortable circumstances, you focus on finding God first, and everything else will follow. God wants us to lean on Him and trust Him with all things, and someone who does this won't constantly ask God for small favors - he will trust God has his best in mind and will focus on serving Him instead. Never forget this!
@ Somewhat related but in the audio reading of the bible has a pastor who breaks down the verses and explains them in modern metaphors. He was explaining how God helped the Israelites escape from slavery under Egyptian rule. He helped them wander the desert for 40 years in promise of the holy land. Only AFTER establishing a relationship did he use Moses to put forward the 10 commandments. Much like getting into a relationship with someone, you build trust and compassion BEFORE setting boundaries and rules.
It’s so telling that God wants to establish a connection before forming the covenant. I’ve learned not to beg for insignificant stuff but instead, show gratitude for a cloudy day :)
@ You are spot on. The ultimate goal is to fully and unconditionally trust and praise God no matter what happens to us, and the smallest step to getting there is letting God guide our lives!
This reminds me of a quote I read somewhere (I don't remember the source):
"My prayer is that when I die, all of hell rejoices that I'm finally out of the fight."
There will be no rejoicing for the demons, my prayer would be to fight alongside the Lord so that hell has one more direct opponent
It is from CS Lewis
Although it sounds cool, the last thing we actually want when we die is for hell to rejoice.
Wasn't Lewis a "modern" jew and an Athiest? I don't understand why people seem to respect his ideas.
@Moe_Posting_Chad "How many other lies have I been told by the council ?"
It was in the grip of temptation that i experienced the miracle of God's grace. I can't prove anything but i know it's true. I've been all things unholy and ive lived a very mediocre life but here I Am. If a wretched sinner like me can experience God's Light then anyone can. It's always with you but you have to tune in to feel it's touch.
If you truly believe that Jesus died on the cross for your sins, you are no longer a “wretched sinner”. In the midst of accepting God’s grace you have to give yourself grace as well. Through the finished works of Jesus, we are made righteous and that’s not only something to be grateful for but a new mindset to live by. We keep fighting because He already won.🤝🏽
I had the same experience as you. Now I will praise the Lord eternally, for He gave me enormous unmerited grace!
@@neverthere9494 We are wretched sinners for as long as we live on this Earth. This mindset is necessary in order to constantly seek God and to avoid falling into pride. God bless.
Romans 5:3-5, where he writes, "And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope. Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us." This passage highlights how trials can lead to spiritual growth and a stronger hope in God's love. Furthermore, humility is a virtue that allows us to recognize our need for God's grace. As we face challenges, we are often reminded of our limitations and the importance of relying on divine assistance. In this way, our struggles can be seen as a path to holiness, helping us to grow in virtue and deepen our relationship with God
I remember in frustration during my spiritual awakening and returning to Christ again and again that I saw something for the first time, my cats (domesticated wild beasts) love treats, and the packaging was as clear as day: Temptations.
ha... Nice analogy
What a great video! Thank you very much for sharing :)
Wow, I never thought of it this way.
The title concerned me when I saw this, but I felt lead to indulge nonetheless. This is by far the most moving and resonating video I’ve encountered which covers trials and tribulations. Thank you
Yes that’s exactly what I wanted this video to convey. I wanted to convey hope and to not despair despite being deep in sin, trials, temptations, tribulations, etc. Glad you found it moving and resonating!
St. Rose of Lima said, “Without the burden of afflictions, it is impossible to reach the height of grace”. She also said, “The gift of grace increases as the struggle increases."
God bless you!
So true! ❤ thank you for making this
Allow me to have strength against lust
I'm with you, my brother. You are not alone in this.
Pray for me and my marriage and my family.
Lord, forgive me. Forgive us. Have mercy.
Amen.
The fact that you have that desire to get away from it means God is with you. Let's not stop praying and once the time is right, he will deliver us from it completely. 🙏❤️✨
You already have that power, friend. The Word tells us that the same power that rose Christ from the dead lives inside you.
Thank you
thanks for the message brother
Orthodoxy for life.
So true... thank you ❤
This is so helpful! Thank you!!
Glad it was helpful!
After having some health problems, I no longer worry about it.
Brother God bless your work. I’m still drinking milk spiritually but I can testify and feel like everything you have said is on point or at least I hope it is. God bless you
Very relatable. Thank you.
i remember feeling like i was always the one fading into the background while others stood out effortlessly. it was frustrating and made me doubt myself a lot. then i came across this book, Magnetic Aura by Takeshi Mizuki, and it showed me things i’d never even considered. it’s not just a self-help book; it’s like a guide to understanding your own energy and using it to connect with people. if you’ve ever felt like you’re not seen, this book might change everything.
where did you get the book from? I can't find any pdf copy on the internet
Amen. ❤🙏
Very true 🙏🏽
We are allowed to be tempted, but we should be avoiding temptations, as they can lead to spiritual ruin. God allowing temptation is not the same as us deliberately going into a risky situations. Putting ourselves into temptation is still a sin, as we recognize chance of sin and still enter it. God wants us to avoid risk of sin, as He says," If your eye causes you to sin, take it out."
“…lead us not into temptation…” (Matthew 6:13) We are not to pray 🙏 to be tempted or afflicted‼️ “Come to me all who are weary & burdened & I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28)
The Lord does not lead you into temptation, he allows the devil to send temptations to you in order to strengthen your resolve. This phrase is often misunderstood and actually refers to Christ's 40 days in the desert where when the Devil asks him to jump of a building, he responds by saying 'thou shalt not tempt the LORD thy God.' This is important to recognise because these two statements together showcase the importance of not deliberately wandering into temptation of your own volition but just accepting and bearing what the Lord allows to be sent directly to you by the devil; the Lord numbered every hair on your body and every atom in your flesh, he knows exactly what kind of temptation you can manage, and exactly what kind of temptation you cannot.
I pray this helps you! Your prayers, God bless you.
To say that temptation itself will save us is misleading! Salvation is through the Person and finished work of Christ Jesus alone! You can't add or subtract from this
What’s the problem ? Read psalm 119 .
“Lord I thank you for my affliction , for my affliction led me to you “
Nah ur just not as bright as the rest of us it would seem. May God shine some revelation upon you. 🙏🏼 🥰

@th3manbatista Yes, Romans 5:3-5 states that trials make us grow, meaning that our tribulations are what God in His sovereignty uses, but they, themselves are not what saves us. It is the person and finished work of Christ Jesus alone that saves us(1 Corinthians 2:2, Ephesians 2:8-10, Titus 3:5, Galatians 3:1-29, 1 Peter 1:3-5).
@@EmV-si1eu I think it’s a general misunderstanding, we’re saying our sinful nature and suffering is what unites us to Christ . Of course Christ is the cause of salvation, but that merely our trials are used to bring us closer , or should be , rather than seen as something to avoid . That is repentance, and the struggle of failure and perseverance, and ultimately freedom when the chains are broken .
You’re telling me GOD answered his prayer and a MONK told him he knew better than what God gave him? Blasphemy
It’s ridiculous instruction: “Go back & pray for the passions to return to you.” 🤥👿👹
Whoosh
What an irrational take-away from this video. The story implies that the wisdom imparted by the monk to his pupil was taught to him by God as well.
i used to think being magnetic was just about looks or confidence, but i couldn’t have been more wrong. i read this book called Magnetic Aura by Takeshi Mizuki, and it totally changed my perspective. it breaks down the energy and mindset behind true attraction in a way that just makes sense. once i started applying what it taught, i noticed people reacting to me differently almost instantly. it’s seriously worth a read.
I don't read new age witchcraft anymore. Its all so tiresome and plagiarized. Read one you read them all already.
This is absolutely UNSCRIPTURAL. I could have NEVER BREAK free without God. The scripture simply say : Run from temptations that capture young people. - 2 Timothy 2:22-24
Why? Because we can never win on our own or our own will.
First thing you as a believer need to do is to ask Jesus to Guard Your Mind. Every day re-new your mind and re-new this prayer. Rebuke any sinful dreams/visions. Run to Jesus. Don't try to do it on your own... Let God fight your battles.
It seems there may have been a misunderstanding about the video. I want to clarify that I am not promoting lust in any way, nor am I suggesting that we can overcome it through our own efforts alone. If the video comes across that way, I sincerely apologize-that was not my intention. My goal is simply to offer hope to those who are struggling with lust and to remind them not to despair of their salvation.
Did you watch the video
@cpteddyprice did you watch the video?
@AncientOrthodoxTruths What do you mean by we can overcome lust with our own efforts alone? And don’t we need rely on God to help us overcome lust?
@@Buckbuck220 that'd not what he said
one night i was scrolling through my phone, feeling like i’d never figure out why some people just seem so magnetic. then i came across this book, Magnetic Aura by Takeshi Mizuki, and something about it caught my attention. reading it was like turning on a light in a dark room. it’s not about pretending to be someone you’re not; it’s about unlocking the energy you already have. trust me, this book is worth every page
Untitled this picture of the way I went into slavery
Jesus is the only way to salvation. Sin only leads you away from God and ultimately *damnation*. 2 Corinthians 6:14 "Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?" Why would the devil want you to go to heaven ? Do not believe everything that is on the internet people, not everyone says the truth. Matthew 7:15 “Beware of the false prophets, [teachers] who come to you dressed as sheep [appearing gentle and innocent], but inwardly are ravenous wolves." Read your bibles and pray to God, for He is the ultimate source of wisdom and truth. And as for you, ancient truth, please go to God and ask for His forgiveness and He will forgive you of your deceit and guide you correctly (surrender your ministry to Him). I'm saying this because God will be very strict for those who teach about Him and He will cast false teachers into deepest darkness.
there was a time when i kept wondering why some people seemed to naturally draw others in while i was just…there. no matter what i tried, i couldn’t figure out how they did it. then someone mentioned the book Magnetic Aura by Takeshi Mizuki, and i decided to check it out. the way it explains how your aura affects everything around you? it blew me away. it’s like having a secret code to unlock your magnetic energy. this book is a game-changer.
I thought God doesnt tempt with evil
God doesn’t tempt with evil it’s our own fallen human nature that does but God in being perfect makes the good out of our evils.
God allows the Devil to tempt us, but he himself does not tempt us.
God's grace can come and go? False, you can come and go from grace, not vice versa.
God can remove grace from your life
that's false dude, and Archmandrite Zacharias (spiritual child of St.Sophronoy of Essex) says that God withdrawing his grace from us is grace within itself. God does this wisely and in perfect timing. now if your a protestant I can see why you think this way because you have departed from the traditional Christian doctrine of what Grace even is, but if your orthodox this something that you need to know and its important to remember.
Read your Bible. God can remove His hand even from an entire people, and He can bring it back to them.
If God sovereignly wants to remove a certain passion for His own purposes, He will do it! This is not the norm but contrary to what this creator says we are commanded in Holy Scripture to in fact, run from or flee from sexual immorality(1 Corinthians 6:18). This in not to be trifled with as if it were something you can bear the weight of!
Yes, always run from sexual immorality. The point of the video is not that I claim lust to be good, the point is that one must not despair of their salvation and God respecting our free will, will always find a way to make the good of what we choose. I apologize if it comes across as a promotion of lust.
@AncientOrthodoxTruths God bless ✝️❤️🙏
But what constitutes sexual immorality? You people just say this as if everyone has a universal understanding of the concept. So what is lust? Why is it there is always an aversion to speaking frankly and plainly about these issues?
I don't believe a word you say in this video
When we pray Our Father, Who art in heaven, we ask for him to not let us go into temptation.
Also in Bible it is said to never fight lust but to run away from it, because God knows our human nature is weak.
I feel like he is also conflating "lust" whatever that means and how loosely he wants to use it, with *FORNICATION.* Which seems to be a far more concrete and actionable sin. I know they argue that all sin is as bad as any sin. But it seems like the way he is speaking, lust literally means anything...anything. I guess.
