I am judoka, french champion veteran 35/40year and my physical training is only made up of classic bodybuilding, nothing more and also doing judo btw.
I’ve been trying to find this for years I ve literally been using Wrestling training as reference for myself finally I’ve found this gem
me to bro whenever iam searching for any ex to do i search for wrestling
This makes the most sense out of any video I've watched on judo strength training.
Wow, this is just great! I find Danes wrestking strength trainibg super valuable and was wishibg there was a rhat advanced channel related to judo too - glad to have found this!
Thats what i was looking for but couldnt find!!
Thx
Fantastic video, thank you!
Very clever Lecture!
Quality stuff
love your shirt
Kettlebell work all of them very well...At least enough for recrecational athletes.
Great shirt :)
Such an useful content .tnx
I think something that might be really useful would be heavy sandbag training, since these judo athletes have to throw people around. That would also give them massive core and grip strength, with an incredibile stability.
Can you do kettlebells for judo exercises on your app?
GOLD
Hi, great video!!!. I have a question: Why to train running 4 to 5 miles for a Judo combat of 4-5 minutes max. ? Thank you.
Serendipitous. I was at Tokyo grand slam today and came home settled in to watch some RUclips and this pops up.
hello wolf and cub
Are you related to Aaron Wolf 🤣
fucking genius master
can you do the same for muay thai / kickboxing ?
All the compounds lifts ans the olympics lifts are useful for wrestlers and judokas
How does the program based on these fundamentals look like with twice a day judo? Sounds like a lot of training. Given that judo already has a lot of explosiveness in the technique training itself and a lot of grip strength and power, and judo specific endurance from let's say 20 rounds of randori in a row. And then you'd want to do cleans and squats and pulls like rows and pullups too.
Nice shirt
Do you think you'll add Judo to your app?
We have judo. Go to the combat training part of the app and select judo.
Shoutout to you for wearing a MF DOOM t-shirt!!
But why i need to pay a466 dollars for the train is to much
Kudos on the MF DOOM t-shirt
RIP
Is there actually a difference between power and explosiveness?
Of course. Think of the last time you had an explosive shit and them compare it to the last time you had a powerful shit. Two very different experiences
No love for kettlebells? They will not develop us much brute strength as olympic lifting but they are certainly the king of strength endurance and core development.
For most folks, good luck finding a kettlebell heavier than 10 kilos - and judoka live on generating as much torque and energy as possible in the snap of a finger - less so than repeated patterns which kettlebell training tends to be better for. Sandbags are a good and cheap alternative (polypropylene or canvas if you really want to ghetto it out) and are likely to be more specific amongst implements that centralize the weight. (A judoka would do well manhandling a man sized sandbag made with iron fillings)
Mmmmmh, Rap Snitches Knishesh…!” Doom
Nice MF DOOM t
Judo guys are very impressive athletically……..cause they don’t take roids like mma, bjj, and wrestling guys do.
Let me fix a big chunk of that with fun... make rock climbing another one of your pursuits ! There is a massive amount of crossover and you don't have to come up with wildly interesting and cool workouts it's all right there in front of you... good luck
