As a high school student in the early 70s on the yearbook staff, I was chosen to cover all the football, basketball, sports events because I owned a Konica autoreflex T with shutter priority that made my captures unparalleled.

John, I got your "winner, winner, chicken dinner" joke AND your Led Zeppelin reference.

I still have the Canon A1 that I bought brand new during the first Reagan Administration. For many years it was my main 35mm camera. Mostly, I am a 4x5 or medium format guy. It's a fine camera for what it is, but my biggest beef is that it lacks a manual metering mode. You can shoot manually, but you either need a separate meter or use sunny 16. One of its better features is that it uses all the fine Canon FD lenses. What I find amusing is that the AE1 is more coveted than the A1 despite it being able to work just like the AE1 if you put it in shutter priority mode

Mike -- ever heard of the band Kula Shaker? Interesting sound -- almost good enough to be an FPP Podcast band!!!

If Kodak were smart, while they were having ex-NASA engineers design the $5500 Super 8 camera -- they would have worked with Reto to come up with a plastic-fantastic Super 8 camera (think modern day XL35/55) in cool Milennial/Gen-X-Y-Z attracting colors and finishes -- to sell at $125, and they would get a nice cut for licensing the Kodak name and sell more Super 8 film than will sell with the Richy-Rich Super 8 camera....
