"Can't believe I had no shirt on on the drums".... Yep, I'm the original drummer for this group so...come to my page and see where I'm at these days...." Color me Badd was a great memory for me and the band I was in were all successful musicians and producers ...and music artist ourselves... Well, Peace to You All C-WILL
Its great to see the lead singer do the backup dancing in the beginning. It would be both awesome and hilarious if this type of performance was done today
imma give props and respect to these guys because its freakin hard to dance to this style of and Sing at the same time. old school hip hop moves are like so energy draining because you really had to exert so much effort to emphasize each movements. so daym CMB killed it
If Bryan had stayed on the straight and narrow and not become alcohol dependant, he could have branched out to become a successful blue-eyed soul singer in his own right. He was offered the opportunity to go solo at the height of CMB's success, but refused out of loyalty to the others.
@@patricialicea2971 ...Everything I said was accurate though. And you really should have looked up the term "blue-eyed soul" BEFORE commenting. You have made yourself look so foolish..🤦♀️🤦♀️
Basically they are the reason for todays spectacle of the Super Bowl half time show. They were booked on a rival channel at the same time which swept the ratings. Then the organisers decided to hire the biggest artist for next years Super Bowl … Michael Jackson.
Saw them in concert way back when they opened for Paula Abdul. I remember seeing them again at a county fair & it was a great show! Loved this group. When they sing a acapella, you know it's gonna sound good!!
When I think back to these young performers when I first saw on stage back when they first stated. Until till now years later I can truly appreciate what they did as a group. Extraordinary what was accomplish, their talents shown though even now after 20 years. They can be very proud. Color Me Badd never had a bad performance. They clearly worked hard...that only a few ever reach there level of success
Great performance, I love this version more then the original even. They sang this with such a different feel, plus the bongo drums give it a wicked ethnic vibe! Thnx for uploading this off the ol' VHS!
Wow! Very nice "LIVE" performance. No lip syncing here. The lead singer has a beautiful voice. I loved this band back in the day. This song brings back memories. Thanks for posting.
This song is not easy to sing and they're dancing hard and harmonizing/singing at the same time. Milli Vanilli aside, people weren't allowed to lip sync to pre-recorded live vocals on shows like this or have effects put on their voice. You had to sing live! Now over 90% of these overpaid recording artists sing to pre-recorded live vocals on tours where tickets are $150.
this is the hit so lively the way they perform dont ya yhink???still remember this one ,was in diapers when this came out,im still wondering where did all the good music go thumbs up if your still listening to this number in 2011
you know you rocked this in the car (just like the rest of us). haha. this was song 4 on my personal 90s mixtape! thanks for taking the time to comment
my brother looks just like Bryan it's crazy we always tease him and play color me bad at party's and he sings the songs to make everyone have a good time
Ahmet Sanchez I know....it makes me sad. I barely found out abt 1 month ago & I was in utter shock. It's like 2 diff ppl. Thin Bryan & now obese Bryan 😔😭🖓
@skinhitters looks like the entire band went with the shirtless theme that day. thanks for taking the time to comment and thank you for bringing some great "back-in-the-day" memories. i checked out your youtube channel and very glad to see you're still jamming.
Pretty cool way to transition to a different key mid-verse. The first guy singing is doing the song in the recorded key. Before the second guy comes in, the band drops the key of the song since that 2nd guy probably couldn't sing in the same key they recorded the song in like the first guy did. If he could, it was a weird stylistic choice. It's definitely pretty jarring musically, but yet it kind of works. Regardless...kudos for them actually playing this live.
CLASSIC! don't forget the kenny g, milli vanilli, and george michaels look-a-likes. whoever put this band together really went out of their way to market the product, but i have to say. they did have some pretty catchy songs. thanks for your comments.
Carson called it “singing for your supper” meaning if you wanted to preform on his show and get the dinner spread left for you the song would be LIVE. All late night hosts of that era until Leno, Arsenio, Letterman, Ferguson, and Conan went off the air kept up Johnny’s rule. Now? Crap and autotune. Reason he was the King of Late-Night and all the other hosts shows kinda followed his lead which in turn made them great and missed. Don’t even know who is on late night since Conan ended that era.
@Oldschoolgal5 i have another CMB arsenio performance posted and someone commented that they are coming to hawaii July 17th. thanks for taking the time to comment
I just noticed how they changed to a lower key when it was the next guy's turn to sing. I wonder if he couldn't quite hit the notes live, because the beginning of the song was in the original key.
@threat20 yep. they had some catchy tunes and i swear when they play their main hit single sex you up, people still enjoy it very much. thanks for taking the time to comment
This is when groups were not afraid to sing live!!!
...while dancing! Arsenio didn't play that lip sync 💩.
Interesting. Never did see any lip syncing on his show.

Oh, I'm totally ok with you being shirtless😁💋
Why you lie for
Yea ok pal
You was brave man 😂😂😂. Did you have standard Tom’s on your set up?
You were amazing here and on the 1992 American Music Awards, my guy. What was it like performing on the Shrine stage?
as corny,or as weird as these guys might look like actually singing and dancing this is much more talented than most of the artist now.
Majorly talented. This performance was really incredible. Wow !
Its great to see the lead singer do the backup dancing in the beginning. It would be both awesome and hilarious if this type of performance was done today

I cant believe how confident, sexy, gorgeous, great singers and dancers all the guys are. Wowwww ❤️❤️❤️❤️

In my book, one of top 10 boy bands in the 90s.
I'm giggling like a school girl listening to these guys sing! Omg! Flashback 90s!
If Bryan had stayed on the straight and narrow and not become alcohol dependant, he could have branched out to become a successful blue-eyed soul singer in his own right. He was offered the opportunity to go solo at the height of CMB's success, but refused out of loyalty to the others.
Whose Brian
@@PaulSmith-yd9ow ..The lead singer.

Hahaha who is the foolish one meow Kemosahbee???
He didnt need to go solo. These guys were allll good together. Thee best boy band out there with their singin and dancin. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Basically they are the reason for todays spectacle of the Super Bowl half time show. They were booked on a rival channel at the same time which swept the ratings. Then the organisers decided to hire the biggest artist for next years Super Bowl … Michael Jackson.

RIP Uncle Charles.
Love they're dancing. Perfect coordination and full of energy! 😊😘
Damn, they threw some funk on that! Amazing guys.
2022 and this is still awesome! You wouldn’t catch a pop act singing live these days. What was up with the key change though?

I still love this group and this song was the first one I saw the music video to. Mark Calderon is my favourite in the quartet 💜💖
Great performance, I love this version more then the original even. They sang this with such a different feel, plus the bongo drums give it a wicked ethnic vibe! Thnx for uploading this off the ol' VHS!
The very early 90s dance moves! Lots of running man variations lol
Vanilla Ice, MC Hammer, Kris Kross, Nene Cherry, Layla K and many many more.

Theirs is pretty recognizable 🤷♂️
Pretty hard dancing and singing, quite impressive
Wow! Very nice "LIVE" performance. No lip syncing here. The lead singer has a beautiful voice. I loved this band back in the day. This song brings back memories. Thanks for posting.

That's so sad in the way that their careers as far as artists was so ended.
this makes me lol so fucking hard.
i grew up to this stuff?
HAHAHAH!!!
xDDD
I really don't consider them a Boy band but most so an R/B group. It all depends.
Hey. Remember when Arsenio Hall was cool?? WHO IS THIS???
Why do their band members have no shirts on???
