I disagree. Sometimes when I miss my mom, who comitted suecide, and reminisce I like listening to slightly cheerful songs for the good memories. It makes me extremely sad, and happy to have known her at the same time. That's kinda what this song is. Both sad and happy at the same time. It's like "no matter what, you have to move on, and you have to focus on the positives of that person" The original is more sad, and knowing the original story makes this one have that sad feeling aswell. Atleast for me. 777, and pet's 1&2 have the same vibe.
I was pleasantly surprised one night after work when I parked my car from the ride home and this song came on S-XM Chill. It just melted everything away and released me from my worries. Great mix.
