Classroom Cleaning Checklist

With the new school year rapidly approaching, it's time for school administrators and faculty members to take a long hard look at the health and hygiene of their classrooms and take action to ensure a safe and productive new year.
Three areas that must be on every classroom cleaning checklist are student hand hygiene, horizontal surface cleaning, and fomite disinfection.
Studies have shown that a single individual with germs on their hands can pass that germ throughout a classroom to multiple students and various surfaces within a few hours.
Most of these germs are located on desks, countertops, computer equipment, doorknobs, and light switches--commonly referred to as fomites-surfaces germs can survive on for an extended period outside of a host.
