One of the things I love about Katzenjammer, I learned from their trip to Svalbard - where they admitted that none of them were very good on the instuments, so they decided to just tape down one string on one of them because it always got in the way! I love that! And it´s pretty much how music has always evolved, isn´t it? F it all, if you can just make it sound good, who cares? and I´m all aboard! Love the girls, and I really want them to come together again to perform their magic onto another audience of true believers!
I`ve always loved the playfulness of this group! For instance, the Abnormous Russian Base instrument is called a Balalaika in Norwegian. This sounds to us like a word play on some male genitalia. And Katzenjammer did some art work on theirs, maybe you can figure out what it resembles?
