Chattanooga Police Respond to a "Looney Tune" | Cops TV Show

- Officer Brian Miller of the Chattanooga Police Department responds to a report of a domestic disturbance at a local residence. At the scene, a woman tells officers that when she arrived at the residence, she thought her ex-husband had returned from out of town after she found the front door of his house open. Officers enter the residence and apprehend the woman following a brief struggle. During questioning, the unstable suspect claims that she had permission to be in the house. Although she admits to kicking the window in to gain entry, she denies tearing up the house. The suspect was arrested and charged with burglary.
This episode was filmed in 2001.

Gosh what's with the sympathy people have towards the suspect? The police had probable cause to enter the residence to arrest her because she entered the residence without permission

Cop videos are usually fun, but when the perp is mentally ill and just sort of sad and lost...I don't know, I feel kind of wrong watching them.

It amazes me what the police get paid to do to walk in somebody's house without a warrant just walk in the front door yelling hands up bunch of idiots but they get paid for that

Okay here's what I meant on that from what I could see those police officers did not have a warrant they just walked right in the person's house they were doing their duty or so they thought they were doing their dirty but from what I understand they were breaking the law themselves breaking and entering to me is what it looked like there are some cops that are crooked had to see a crooked cop get by they need to be exposed that's what needs to happen these guys were doing their duty I don't know from what I can see they weren't
@@williamwoods1726 There was an intruder in the house who forced entry. They don't need a warrant for that. Given what the person who called them told them, they had probable cause. God, you're dumb.
@@williamwoods1726So how are police supposed to do their job if they can’t enter a private property to arrest someone committing an offence? With your logic, they receive a call of a burg in progress, they approach the door, see a crook stealing items like in this video or bashing someone and have to say from outside, “hold on,stay there, we just have to head back to the office to write up an affidavit for a search warrant to come in to arrest you, we’ll be back”. The only time they need a warrant to enter is when they’re searching for items or arresting someone who has been issued a warrant for missing court previously
@@williamwoods1726There was evidence of a breaking and entering (broken storm door) which gives them probable cause and you only need a warrant to search the property. If someone had broken into your house would you want to have to wait for a judge to issue a warrant before the police can enter?
