The explanations and pointing out facts are part of his build up to the punch line, this is also helped with his expression, the delivery, and comedic timing. Billy Connolly was and still is the master at this type of comedy (all hale the Big Yin). I love this type of comedy, they draw you in so like you, you start to think about what he is saying and then the punchline / pointing out the obvious and you can’t help but laughing. If you like this then you MUST watch Billy Connolly. Great reaction Joel, just don’t be so serious next time. It’s comedy, humour, light hearted entertainment. Take care and have a fab week. 👍🏻👍🏻🫶🏻🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂👍🏻😂
Common sense! It's not all that common! Funny fellow, Joel! Loved what he said about political correctness. Ah, how Truth can come through many a strange door, yes?
Is point of political correctness works. If you don’t think about it and use dare, I say it COMMON SENSE. Because the point is to help people who attacked so much they kill themselves or make it ok for people to think they can go around besting to death people just for dumb things like skin colour or what you do with your genitalia.
I remember taking my eight-year old daughter to a petting zoo outside DC. We had only recently moved from E Africa, where baboon, monkeys, and black mambas were daily visitors to our farm, and where herds of elephant regularly held up traffic and leopards stole a sheep or two every month. Imagine her reaction on entering this petting zoo, being issued with plastic gloves (incase she got infected by touching anything - in a "petting" zoo) and reading a notice which warned her not to touch a sheep because it could be dangerous. Her slightly older brother and her had been slaughtering goats by cutting their throats, when we had special visitors. And the sheep were a danger to her??
I can honestly say I am grateful for the fact i can buy my meat prepared ready to eat. If you ever told me to kill a chicken or any other animal for dinner. I couldnt do it. Id just live off rice and vegetables. I cry when I accidentally step on a snail. 😰😰😰 .
You should react to Steve Hughes Live at the Apollo, its another English venue where he does a slightly longer set and is even funnier! Great reaction!!
Absolutely loved this, thanks for bringing it into my sphere Joel, i'd never heard of him but he's hilarious. We need comedy so much these days. He's very relavent.
This has only been said about a select few comedians BUT.. YOU CAN TELL A COMEDIAN IS LEGENDARY WHEN HE GETS ON STAGE........ - Says nothing - Audience applauds to welcome him - then says "Ok... thank you " - AUDIENCE PROCEEDS TO LAUGH UNCONTROLLABLY that's it... what more needs to be said
If you want to see a great Australian comedian, you absolutely HAVE to check out Tim Minchin. He's a comedian, writer, actor, producer and songwriter. I recommend "Prejudice", "Thank you God", "Lullaby" and "Storm" for starters. Also some seriously beautiful songs like "White Wine in the Sun", "Not Perfect", "Carry You" (from his recent TV series, "Upright") and his most recent release "Aeroplane". Love your reactions, Keep it up.
When jim Jeffries and Steve talk about the hold ups they've both been in its the same incident when they lived together with another Aussie comic in London Brendon Burns.
Im totally loving watching you watch what is great about Australia. Youre totally not a loud abrasive American. Love ya bro. And yes come visit us down under. Youd fit in and have a ball And mate honestly the spiders arent jumping out every 5 minutes. Keep them reaction vids coming
Good vid, filmed at London's famous Apollo theatre: while SH is an Aussie-born,English-based comedian, another one,who I highly recommend to look out for is English-born,Aussie comedian Tim Minchin 👌 P.S. Next suggestion,Australia's near neighbour/rival New Zealand👍
Steve is a legend. Been my favourite comedian for a long time. I met him in like 2015 or 2016. As down to earth as they come. Stopped and talked with us for some minutes and showed genuine interest. His full shows are great, if you can find them.
Joel you have seen it before you have reacted to it on your other channel 5 days before you moved in to college And you looked so young and no facial hair 😊
Thanks for that Joel. I am now feeling very unAustralian. I have never heard of him. I do very much agree with him. The PC brigade is stuffing the world. Australia does have some very good comedians. Love your work. Keep them coming.
The PC brigade brought us some amazing things like increased workplace equality, voting rights for women and blacks, gay marriage, abortion rights. For hundreds of years those things weren't politically correct. Stop being scared by right-wing sloganism.
@@BowieZ But it works both ways which is the issue. Who is to say what should and shouldn't be politically correct? Will those rights always be politically correct, even though as a human right they should all be? It has brought good things, but in the paraphrased words of Stephen Fry, political correctness is so concerned with being right, it stops being effective. It also does nothing to teach people why things should be considered wrong, so why would people take it on board? Cultural education is more important than political correctness.
@@BowieZ I agree that it has achieved a lot of wonderful things but I can see that a lot of ridiculous things have crept in too. You can't call yourself an idiot because someone else might take offence. I have known me for seventy years. I think I have earned the rite to call myself an idiot when I do something stupid.
Same here, I’m an Aussie and that’s the first time I ever heard his name or seen him. Wonder if he performed here, or on TV. Looks like Aussies have to go to the country that has the best comedy I love, the UK
Hi Joel another Australian comedian that you may like to Google and react to is a Chinese Australian lady named He Huang. Very very funny , I think you will enjoy her routine
I'll go on with he's saying, what separates simple offensive speech and hate speech is common sense. The problem is, everyone's going on complaining about EVERY little bit. It's like the boy who cried wolf, isn't it? How you going then know an actual hate speech apart from all those frivolous nonsense? You start tuning it all out including the legitimate complaints.
@@evaadams8298 I agree. He relies too heavily on being vulgar and just lacks wit in general. There really needs to be more to your act then dropping the F bomb, anyone can do that.
new to your channel so not sure if youve reacted to them already but the guy who introduced steve is Michael Mcintyre, another funny comedian worth checking out, and one other i would recommend is Micky Flanagan.
Kia ora Joel... well done it takes a lot of effort to find an intelligent Aussie. A health and safety warning should be issued before this show. Going back ion history you might enjoy some songs ok Kevin bloody wilson.... some of them might need health warning before them ... Maybe if you listen to some of the you might have to say DILLIGAF. CONGRATULATIONS have a great day

The big issue paper is ..... an independent, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting and creating work opportunities for people experiencing homelessness, marginalisation and disadvantage.. ( in case you are wondering why he said.... You dont newd to buy one from me .)
You should check out some of The Juice Media videos. They comment on Australian political issues and they're hilarious. They also did a video that breaks down our voting system. Also recommend checking out Tim Minchin.
Agree, this guy is really funny and does what all good comedians do and that is to challenge your world view. A good example of this for Steve Hughes is here ruclips.net/video/ecr27Q_L9l8/видео.html. ( For watching not for reacting)

Carl Barron is a true blue Aussie who does observational comedy.
He is touring at the moment and his shows are sold out everywhere.
He is a LEGEND
Yes yes yes I was just about to suggest Carl Barron.
I think Carl Barron would be a better choice. But I loved what he said about Steve Hughes good commentary.
I'm glad you said it first. 100% agree.
Literally was about to suggest Carl - I'm so happy is was the 1st comment!
Haven't seen that in ages, brilliant. His delivery is fantastic. Check out Tim Minchin...Storm would be a great start or Thankyou God.
Thats not Steve on the drums. That is Reign in Blood by SLAYER.
One of my favourite Aussie comedian is Adam Hills. He’s a tv show host in a origami these days I think- “the last leg”
Superb (as he's missing a leg)

We have a dry sense of humour. Steve is brilliant.
