I'm 34 years old and all my adult life I've been on the fence or indifferent to the idea of having children. Having this window into your life to see the beauty and joy and fulfilment that comes from a large traditional family has inspired me. As is the case with any artist/youtuber etc. you likely have no idea just how far reaching your influence goes, not only on the people who watch these videos, but on down the line with how those viewers then impact the people around them. If you're ever having a down day wondering 'what the point of it all' is, remember this. Thanks and bless your awesome family.
Children change your life forever, usually for the better. It's a whole different perspective, no longer me but we! They are a life long responsibility, worry, and blessing. If you are a believer, pray for your children. As they grow you cannot be with them all the time. God can be. Dedicate them to Him, share them and their development with Him. Teach them to reverence God and to pray to Him. It will build a closeness, a love, a hedge of protection around you and your children. They help you see the shallowness in most those around you, as you put their needs ahead of your wants and often your needs. Maintain your health to maintain theirs. It's a lifelong journey you can never do over once you make the choice. But given the choice and taking it, it's the best journey life and choices could ever give you. It brings out the child in you. It rekindles the joy of little things, the joy of life. It takes you out of yourself, it's like watching your heart and soul walking around outside of your body. If I had the choice to do my life over I might make a few, better decisions, choices, but I'd readily choose parenting life all over again, in a heartbeat. Best wishes.

Henry is an absolute rock star who has the BEST siblings! Watching Josiah take care of his little brother melts my heart. He is so gentle and patient.
Yes, watching the loving, protective, and gentle care his two oldest siblings took in waking, tickling, and dressing him was so sweet! I was blessed with two older, loving, brothers. Watching this brought back a flood of beautiful memories. Henry, for such a tiny boy, is so surrounded, loved, cared for, protected, and enjoyed by all his siblings, let alone his doting parents! Such a blessed boy! Jonah and Josiah are amazing teens, a dynamic duo! Creative, confident, capable, and the way they handle the heavier equipment, the skills, they are developing, watching dreams, plans, and hopes coming to fruition, just amazes me. Each child is loved, wanted, and grows and thrives under the parents roof of love and encouragement. What beautiful examples these two oldest set for their siblings.

Oh my goodness! Has it really been TWO YEARS already?!? I became a new subscriber just before little Henry was born, and seeing how much all the children have grown has been such an adventure! Thank you so much for sharing some of your family life with us! Having always wished for a large family (but growing up as an only child), it's wonderful to see how well yours does in this lifestyle. I know right!? I keep asking my children....why can't you even ACT like you LIKE each other just the tiniest bit? It won't kill you to help each other every now and again, I promise .... look, see? It doesn't kill them!
And the amount of common sense these kids have is mind blowing! I have A-B honor roll school kids and they look dumb compared to the knowledge his kids have! It's insane! I'm like, what does he give those kids!? I've always had a garden and raised my own meat, cooked from scratch, the whole 9 yards....must be something in my kids school food that deteriorates their brain cells 🤣🤷🏼♀️
@@BootsandBountyHomestead there is such a difference in learning from a book how someone else did something, and in learning the same info by doing it yourself. Jonah was reading a book and in the story a man built a waterwheel for energy. He researched waterwheels. Our schools stop here with the book learning. Jonah and Josiah took it to the next step and built one, trouble shot it, and rebuilt it and plan on having it working as an electrical energy support for the farm. They are doing the research for it now. Schools, especially middle schools and high schools, used to have shop classes. My husband's had woodworking, metal, auto mechanics, etc for boys in addition to sports. Girls had their sports, but also sewing, home economics, etc. Girls could take whatever shop class that interested them as could the boys, so a few girls were in wood, metal, shops and mechanics, and a few boys might be in sewing, home economics, etc. Today both men and women are chefs, designers, artistic creators in metal, wood, and mechanics. Sad that the hands on part of the education has been eliminated for just book learning in our schools. Charter schools are putting the hands on learning back into the schools. My grandson attends a charter high school that has allowed him to learn and explore cooking, music, film (his favorite) and other potential career paths, vocations or hobbies of interest in addition to the regular schedule of book learning. It has greatly helped my grandson decide to attend a trade school instead of a four year college or university. This fits his adhd better, as well. After his graduation this coming May, he will attend our local city college that offers expanded trade education from horticulture, agriculture, and animal husbandry, to drama, music, and other arts, auto mechanics, to building trades like construction, plumbing, electricians , and welding. My grandson enjoys working with his hands and is leaning towards film and welding, but whatever he chooses he can also continue to learn and experience other options.

Having good parents makes all the difference in childrens' lives. I have seen some really bad parenting even in my own famiy. 😞 Watching families like the Rhodes and others on RUclips makes me wish I had had that growing up. Now that my siblings and I are older, we have become closer to each other. Having a family is the greatest.
