@@kaitlinathanasakis9321 Yes! Pentatonix is great, but their cover was missing the raw emotion and incredible acting in Ben Platt's version. It felt like they completely lost the heart of the song.

It really amazes me now, after seeing their concert live, how much they sound like their official videos. It doesn’t matter if it’s a recording or live it sounds exactly the same and the high standards they set as a group never fall short during their entire performance from start to finish. It was an amazing and entertaining show I wished it was longer even though it was almost 2 hours long for just PTX’s portion 3.5 total with Citizen Queen and Rachel Platten opening! I absolutely recommend going to their concert for the length of the show and the price I paid for the tickets (I was 3 rows away from the stage) it was totally worth it!!!

If you love Pentatonix and prefer live performances, you will adore Pentatonix's official video for Silent Night. Yeah it's a winter song, but it is a live performance and absolutely gorgeous.
If you want to react to more of PTX their Waving Through the Window is really good also their Shallow cover. Those are Official Videos but if you want a live performance than their cover of “Aha” at Singapore was amazing.

I know this is an old video and no one will see this, but I'm kinda sad you (and Pentatonix) didn't put the original song by Cosmo Sheldrake in the description. He's an amazing artist and creator, and really does deserve to be credited as well.

I went to their concert last night and the people in front of me were so annoyed at me and my sister because we kept on fan Girling about everything. The concert was amazing and when they performed this song it sounded exactly like the studio version.
Dogs and books Are Life OMG me too. I went to the one in AC with my 9yr old niece. We were in the pit and whenever Scott came close she’d scream his name and people would look at her all annoyed. Umm… she’s 9. Lol. All she wanted was for Scott to wave at her and for them to sing Havana. 😂
Do people not expect that in the pit?? I mean as long as its not obnoxious, why are people getting butt hurt especially at a nine year old.

I don't see any comments on it so I'll post it myself, this was a cover done by PTX on Come Along by Cosmo Sheldrake. I love PTX's cover, but I suggest people who like it to check out the original as well, it's truly brilliant!
I saw them do this live last night in Fargo, it was SOO well done live, they actually addressed how fun it was to sing with all these fun choiry beats, it was absolutely right and gorgeous.
This is one of the PTX songs that just makes me happy, bright colors, bright tune, fun beat to it and everybody getting a chance to shine. But what is it about that final chord??? Every time I hear it it rings like a bell that I can feel down to my shoes.
Kirk Ayers it’s called a picardy third, it’s where a piece that is in a minor key (in this case Cmin) ends on the major cord (in this case Cmaj)

I saw them on June 6th at Madison square garden with all the sound support I was not used to hearing all the bass but we had a great time . and now when I tune in I have a new reference, and when nobody is home up goes the volume and get to float away :-)

I love how well Kirsten sounds harmonizing with Mitch. She sits just under him and it creates such a full sound. Beautiful work from them two up there. Also love how often the others are embracing a bit more of the chest and mid range sounds it their latest work

You said you prefer to listen to a live performance. I do only when I'm live with them. If you put the song through tiny speakers without a headset and the sound bounces around the room like singing in a gymnasium, you got a feel of a live performance. The sound on this video sounds like they are sitting 10-12 feet away in an echo chamber. With a headset on they sound like you are sitting in the middle of them.
Man that guy Mitch has an amazing voice he just truly gifted singer.

I understand that you would prefer to react Live versions of their songs but, notwithstanding the fact that you’ll hear the live version on their current World Tour, you won’t hear great audio! The official video is all we have really.
What would be really cool (& original) would be if you went to one of their concerts, chose a song that you were going to react to - like Shallow - then use their official video of Shallow and tell us what you observed when you watched them sing it live! With that song, they’re standing in a straight line, no dancing or choreographed movements, so it should be ‘easy’ to do.... although I think that they may have already performed where you are! I hope that you had the opportunity to go and see them...
Yes sometimes their TV performances are almost ruined because the audio people don't know how to prep them for an acapella performance and you can tell the audio is off, no fault of their own. So sometimes it's hard to find proper audio of their live performances I agree!
