  • What's good Profound Travelerz! Back with some more heat from our trip to Baja Mexico in 2022. This stop, we spent some time in the beautiful and scenic city of Ensenada. This is one of the more calmer and temperate cities I've ever traveled to. The food was amazing, the views were top tier and the locals were so kind. Ensenada felt safer overall than other cities I've traveled to in Mexico, but exercise normal precautions anywhere you go in the world.

      Nowhere is a utopia. Just have to live your life and try to move accordingly. Rule I go by from growing up in LA. Don't loiter for a long time, be respectful, be alert, be cool and be ready to do whatever you need to. Homework should be done anywhere you go.

    Good quick overview. Thanks for sharing. The Peruvian restaurante…sad to say closed. I went in May 2022, not open no more. But they are back in full operation there. The other places are open and its become a hangout. Prior, there was a problem, the beach was polluted so the businesses went down, no visitors during both the virus and the pollution. Recently, they repaired the filters, so no more smell. But do not swim here, its polluted by not only sewage but ship cruse oil pollution and and fishing boats the engines leak oil into this water. Not to clean at all, its looks good. But. Enjoy the city and see other videos that tell it all. It's fun here. 🙂.. Visit the local breweries and scenic gardens of many wineries.

    CAUTION … went there last weekend arrived on a Friday my sisters car window got shattered and a backpack was stolen . Day two there was a dui checkpoint and because we had an empty beer can that had been there since the day before . nobody had been drinking and there wasn’t any other beer cans in the car the police demanded $200 or I would be going to jail so they got me for $200 . Day 3 we all went walking down to the pier aka the Mercado negro where the giant Mexican flag is . We had small children with us and had just left we were pulling out of the parking lot when a massive amount of people started running out because there was a shootout and a man was executed right there where we had just been . We could see the cruise ships from our hotel and in a matter of 3 hours they had pulled off .
    This was my experience do your research and look at the local news before going there . I recommend not to go there but if you do use extreme caution

    Thanks for the info on this video. I've never drive in Mexico but I want to take a 10 days trip driving from SD to Rosarito, then Ensenada, San Felipe & finally Mexicali. You think it is wise to make a solo trip like that? I think Mexico get a bad rap for being not safe and corruptions. I think it is fairly safe if you don't anything illegal.

    • @Profound_Travelz
      @Profound_Travelz  Год назад +2

      Thanks for watching! I think driving from TJ, to Rosarito, to Ensenada is completely safe, especially in the day time. I drove at night from Ensenada to Rosarito and it was surreal calm. The drive to Mexical will take a while unless you take the 8 fwy on the Cali side to the city. When in TJ, park your car in a paid lot or hotel to be safe. I've also noticed that drivers there don't speed, they yield, and drive cautious.

    • @Profound_Travelz
      @Profound_Travelz  Год назад +1

      Cash is fine at most businesses along the coast & boardwalk. Although, some places may give you pesos as change in return. Atm machines are best to use in the centro area. There's plenty

    What are the best hotel to stay there

    • @Profound_Travelz
      @Profound_Travelz  2 года назад +1

      My guess would be on Ave Reforma or Zona Centro where the beach and tourists stuff is located. Everything is in proximity and walking distance from those areas of town.

    • @Profound_Travelz
      @Profound_Travelz  2 года назад +1

      Thanks for watching! Yes, mostly local Mexicans. Same here, I love the locap energy everywhere I go. The expats we saw, tend to leave more so along the coast in there own lil bubble, away from the city. They party in centro Ensenada, then back to there space

      @@Profound_Travelz Hola, thanks for responding. How would I find out about these properties and what is the difference of Centro Ensenada? I'm in the states working on getting paperwork together so I need a lot of help:)

    • @Profound_Travelz
      @Profound_Travelz  2 года назад +1

      @@lvncsr6166 I searched using point2homes.com & clicked on the map view for a general idea. In centro, there are realtor offices all that area. Aside from that, there were for sale or rent signs all up the coast for properties. The mansion type homes above the city at the Mirador overlook were impressive!
