I'm super pumped about this! In high school and early college years I would go watch his band Glass Intrepid and hang out with them after the show. It's nice to see him get this opportunity that he's always deserved!

I can't stop listening to this. I was pleasantly surprised because I didn't know what to think after Shim left but this new album is gonna be Sick! Oh, and to everyone bashing Matt from Three Days Grace, how about you actually listen to their new album. It's really good! This whole thing of "if a singer leaves the band is dead" is BS! Everyone puts just as much into whatever band they are in so it's almost an insult to the rest of the band to say that. I think the only time in history that there was an exception to that was Nirvana. But AIC, and TDG have new singers and they have done amazing stuff!

+Matthew K. Why shouldn't they have kept the name? It's not like shim was the only member that worked to make the band famous. Vocalists are just a member of the band.
This sounds different from Cult To Follow, but the same name and he looks the same, so it has to be him.
Your thinking of Bryan W. Scott in Union Underground, Cult To Follow and Into The Fire. This is not the same guy, hope this helps.

No. Shim left unannounced and the new songs from Sick Puppies are far better than anything they've produced before (for the most part). Connect was way too soft so they needed a way to reinvent themselves and/or play music in their original style. After Shim left, Bryan was the perfect fit.
i agree im no longer a fan without shim. he made the sound. and i saw them in concert not to long before the spilt. He was amazing not just with the music but talking to the crowd , getting everyone involved and just having an amazing time. He was all about talking to fans at the free meet and greet/autograph table. The other members seems understandably tired. but Shim made the effort to show fans he cared and appreciated them. This new guy sounds like everyone else. sad to see one of my favorite bands die

Hmm, not gonna lie, I'm a bit ambivalent on this. The music is a welcome return to the heavier, edgier stuff that the band did well at in the past. Bryan isn't a bad singer, but his voice is a bit jarring, especially compared to Shim's, and comes across as generic in the scene of edgy-voiced rock singers.
At least, though, it's not the complete train crash that Three Days Grace has become with Matt replacing Adam.
Shim was better listened to the album it sucks
