  • I saw this product a few years back and remember looking into it and once I saw the price, I stopped thinking about it. Fast forward to recently and I got a Midway email and this item was on sale. Sale price looked decent enough to pick one up for the channel so I added it to my cart. When checking out and seeing the shipping price, I changed my mind.
Decided to see what it sold/shipped for from other online retailers and this video covers that as well as how effective the container is. I'd like to meet the stencil person.

I purchased a large drink cooler, (96 pop cans) to do the same thing and keeps my powder at a more consistent temperature. I do write the powder info on each lid so I don't have to lift all the containers to find what I want.

Nice idea. I already put dates on powders when I get them. I like the idea of putting a label on the lid as well. Thanks.

To answer your question about Midways shipping........ have you seen the commercial with the owner in the shipping center? That center didnt pay for itself haha

They need to rename (if they still use it as I can't remember the last time I saw a box with the "branding") Nitro Express to Nitro Expre$$

I think the angled text label is intentional as a take on the cartoon version of a "powder keg".
A large wooden barrel with black powder printed on a diagonal as seen in classic Warner Bros cartoons like Bugs Bunny.

I'd run with your idea on the Bugs Bunny "angle"...save for the fact everywhere I've seen this online has it straight. Now mine is unique!

Because these companies use shipping costs as a profit center. All that extra money they charge goes right in their pocket. Up yours MidwayUSA Hello Rubbermaid!

$8 shipping for this item was/is reasonable IMO. $34 for shipping this? Ummm, no.

Midway is terrible about shipping. I haven't bought anything from them in at least a decade if not two. I can alway find things cheaper somewhere else.
