3 benefits of drum brakes... 1) when not in use (which is most of the time with regen braking) they don't touch the drum (unlike disc calipers), resulting in lower drag/friction... 2) they make a park brake easier (cheaper) to hook up... 3) they are cheaper. So there yer go.
You forgot rust
I would honestly discard this car on the brakes noise alone. Completely unacceptable.
Having already ordered one, I am both hoping and praying that was either dodgy shocks on this car and / or using regen braking most of the time means I won't need to hear that racket. Otherwise I'll be talking to Audi at length.
@@choddo i like the audi because it doesnt have Touch sensitive problems
@@choddo the only reason the noise actually happens is if you accelerate then brake suddenly the noise will only happen then. And you don’t normally do that unless in really slow clogging traffic
Now we know how Mat made his biceps 6:27 😂
😂ya pushed hard on the window, yup, noticed that…😂
12:13
Yes all is very good...
I think Audi really thought carefully about practicality and I think this is one of the best practicality cars...
If I could have it tomorrow I would. E.tron Q4 all week, E.tron GT for the weekend.
Oh my goodness. This guy is funny, informative, and entertaining.
You can change the design of the headlights, but you don't have rear backup camera....

Ngl this caught me off guard
me too🤣🤣🤣
It's lashing but Matt keeps going, dedication 😜
No electric seats in an electric Audi is a bit of a joke
It is for North America. Europeans do things a little differently.
Man Audi E-Tron's are super beautiful and a planet saver in the long run
Where is the carwow stick? I can't trust the vents are really fake without seeing the stick 🤣
When you're driving an audi e-tron Q4 and the camera car is an alfa romeo stelvio Q4
I really think that Mat needs a brake caliper on those shorts
Yesterday I saw one here in Norway. It looks really nice, I like that Audi's electric cars look pretty conventional.
Saw this car in a dealer today. Lovely car in terms of looks and has a lot of space. Wish they did a petrol or diesel version.
PR ****-**** 5 stars for saying it like it is Matt 👌
Whatever Mat was smoking to make him think that the e-tron is a good-looking car - I wanna have some of that
Steering wheel from an Austin Allegro. BL design was way ahead of the time. 😂😂
I was literally talking with my boss about the Q4 being better looking than the ID4 and we compared them, a few minutes later carwow uploaded this video hahaha! Go AUDI!!!
Amazing car 👍✌Today I Review it and next days will come the video out. LOVELY 🙂
Man is in the rain an not complaining, ReSpEct mate
6:41 to 6:50 that’s all you need to watch. You’re quicker than the Nevera Matt! 😂
The design looks really good
Look like a ID4
@@treywilkins252 Matt did say that it was based on the ID4 platform so will be similar
But it still isn't worth the money
@@anthonyharriott9406 That is Audi I'm afraid the quality of materials should be better but might as well get an ID4 which I think looks good
13:45 unexpected Joe Achilles shout out but a welcomed one
You’ve got me laughing when lifting up/down your seat 🤣
Drum brakesssssss!
Yesssss...I had to exchange rear Discs already twice in 5 years on my Passat GTE, since never used due to regen and rust killed them.
VW/Audi expects that drum brake will last for the entire Car live...which will save a loooot of money for you as owner.
@@josefv-y8m i had to repair my drums on an old Polo 2012 in 2019 which after new parts and labor cost €700... it's not that cheap imo.
Carwow : Audi E-tron review
Mat : "I just didn't read the weather forcast"
The Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6 have much better charging speeds, due to their 800v systems.
You should do real world charging speed as a part of the review I think :)
You take the desire out of forking out huge cash to buy cars. You point out design and functional mistakes and surprisingly there are so many. We have retrograded because in the 1970s we had big Cadillacs and you could sit an entire family in the front seat, no bucket seats. In the end I got the XC40. The seat was very uncomfortable for me giving me back ache but over a year I got used to it. Other than that it is the best car out there and I enjoy driving it so much. There are things with it like the orange engine light can mysteriously go on but it is of no consequences, and after 32k miles sometimes the engine feels revved but these are only minor things.
So happy you always talk about the reflected surfaces! It very annoying and stupid honestly when car manufacturers do this..
