In Australia its double points for professional drivers,I think its a better system to deter distractions especially for heavy vehicles that have the potential to cause carnage.
All these so called 'professional' drivers,caught using phones whilst driving,should be named,shamed and banned from driving for life. Don't care about any hardships they might then face-tough.
£20.000 fine and lifetime ban from driving. Oh and 6 months helping to look after victims of car accidents involving the same type of driver AND THE VICTIMS TOLD WHAT THEY DID.🤬🤬🤬

The potential dangers can never be underestimated.
No excuses if you are a profesional driver....ban them, anything as big as those lorries can be is sure to cause some serious carnage if the driver is distracted and can't react in time,they don't stop on a sixpence either so the result isn't going to go well for whatever they hit.
The law & the penalties are not severe enough ! There is no excuse we all know the laws ! So the only way you are ever going to stop this is by an instant ban when you get pulled over !! It's simple !

Was the driver towing in lane 3 prosecuted?
I would imagine so as that bit of footage was focused on the pick up & trailer, 2 x offences, Lane 3 with a trailer and speeding
