  • A Chicago tradition honoring the lives of CPD officers who've died in the line of duty brought together hundreds of law enforcement personnel and the families of fallen officers along Michigan Avenue and surrounding streets downtown Sunday morning. The St. Jude Memorial March is a tradition that began more than 90 years ago. The St. Jude League is a non-profit organization that supports officers' families during times of bereavement. Founded in 1932, it's the oldest fraternal order in support of CPD. Every May, members of CPD and other law enforcement agencies march to honor the fallen.
