I think coaches, referees, a lot of players and the WNBA are all gambling to subsidize their low pay. Just look what Sides does to CC. During games she forces CC to give up the ball at halfcourt and go play a 2 guard. Every time she does it the team struggles. Seems like these coaches are working together at times. Weatherspoon acted like she hated Sides in the first two games with the not so nice handshake after the game. Third game Indiana collapsed and they are hugging each other after the game.
Starting to think there is a lot of funky stuff going on in this league. Points shaving. Sides does the same thing to CC every game or takes her off the point which is the same as sitting her.
She already have the refs cheating for her and have teams playing down their defense on her because wht people were so mad the inferiority was shown on full display

Definitely something going on. Reese stat padding really suspect. They need to sell the game, but more importantly, as soon as you have betting involved, you start to question why unusual things happen during the game.

I had point shaving in the title at first, but I didn't knw if that would make it shadow banned but this was exactly what Michael Porter Jr's brother just got kicked out of the league for. And the commentators acting like it wasn't noteworthy the entire 4th to even mention it when normally they'll tell you 9 times someone is ona restriction, or got hurt earlier...it was all very odd just watching it in real time, I'm like "I CAN'T be the only one seeing that elephant stand there". They just talked right around it.
I doesn't matter how much one is paid. It is lifestyle and what one wants and needs. The more you make the more you need.
Team USA getting all these injuries and some Olympians getting defeated by Fever. Seems like poetic justice after snubbing Clark. And whatever happened to Clark being named an alternate for Team USA?
With all those injuries I wouldn’t want to be an alternate to that team…would stay far away with that juju but with at least half the team injured and recovering from injury don’t think we coming home with the gold this year but hey that’s on them for the team they built knowing this fact.

Chelsea Gray was never the elite point guard. Her career stat is merely 12.2 ppg, 3.1 reb and 5.0 asst. Her assist number went up while playing with the Aces, but how hard can that be playing with three other Olympians? They call her point gawd, but I guess because of how she can pass the ball behind her back. But I am not impressed particularly with her play post-injury. She is just awful and she should never be at the Olympics. Thomas not playing might be due to her Olympics. But who knows.
Agreed on Gray. And Thomas, but I feel like minutes restrictions should be disclosed before the game if they are going to be accepting money from people that bet, play daily games and whatnot, the same way they legally have to disclose injuries before games. They basically just did what Porter in the NBA just got a lifetime ban for. Checking himself out early to make sure he stayed under the over/under

Just to clarify - this is two separate topics. Fans were saying that the Sun game was rigged or AT was shaving. The Aces - they are trying to shoehorn Gray into the game to justify her spot on Team USA, even though she clearly isn't healthy.
I agree the Atlanta Dream vs the Sky looked fixed. The Aces point guard Gray is either hurt or over rated. If she is hurt she shouldn’t be pressured to play just because the Olympics. I don’t think Cennedy Carter from the Sky is with Point Shaving/stat padding she is not with the B S. She had a chance for a career high and dribbled the ball vs an open layup.

Somebody needed to make it clear that she needs to keep her temper under control. Fired by two teams because she lost her rag too often/too much, and then the attack on CC22 in the first Fever/Sky game. But she is VERY good; and if she can keep her temper under control she's got a good future.

The big money is on the gamblers betting against a team and point spreads. Letting a team drop a large point spread by benching the lead scorer and putting in a player to slow the game down so opponent can catch up. Investigate what is going on. Can’t be seen on radar if the radar is turned off.

I dont know if it's rigged but i do know a lot of the coaches are horrible and dont know how to rotate their players out to deal with changes during the game. Some teams have Olympic players and maybe they arent playing as hard or are on the bench to avoid injury before the Olympics

because before Lebron made up this whole fake revenge tour thing even though the FIBA team placed 7th last time and they didn't care, KD has been there every time - even fresh off his achilles injury - to lead them to gold. And because he has a history of playing well as soon as he recovers and Kawhi has a history of playing for 2 games and then afterwards you hear he's done. We really don't know. Maybe she is feeling something in her body or stuff and requested a rest to her coach. We can't just jump to conclusions without giving them benefit of the doubt. Having an attitude of assuming something worst for everybody is not something that you should get used to. It's a toxic mindset and just plain negativity.
The fact that we really don't know is the problem. What other games do you watch when the star of the team sits out the 4th and it just goes un-reported? Not reporting on something that they accept millions of dollars from people is not something that you should get used to accepting, and even though I didn't and don't bet, I am going to amplify the voices of those ppl on Twitter the best that I can until somebody does their job and clarify. But moreso than her sitting out, it was the fact that nobody felt the need to address it on air that was really where the ball was dropped. If they can't afford a sideline reporter, usually the commentators would at least find out during a timeout and give an update. Or say "No Alyssa Thomas so far in the 4th...". They just didn't say a word

The best way to have peace in the sports world is to REMEMBER that the WNBA is NOT a real sports league. When we recognize this, there is no need to invest heart or mind into the W.
After the last Sky VS. Fever game, I gave up following the league because it was obviously rigged. Scoring only 2 points in the last 8 minutes and Fever players deliberately missing open layups and passes from Clark - I gave up investing any passion for this league. When Clark hits a milestone I will check it out afterward, but until the league behaves professionally and like a for profit business, it will always be the entertainment wing of the democratic party to me.

Games ain’t fixed. If you have ever been around female athletes their monthly cycle jacks them up. Get a couple on it at the same time especially the top players and that that team can lose to anybody.

Happens in the NBA to and NFL not quite wwe levels of scripted but certainly rigged I do not think its all players or refs coaches or even games though.
