- When 16-year-old Madison Hurd couldn't go to the prom she'd planned due to a sudden, serious hospitalization, the staff at Children's Hospital & Medical Center brought prom to her, with help from her family and friends. The result? A memorable experience that delighted Madison and put the compassion of Children's team on full display.
If I'm ever in icu again and I miss prom, I want this to happen! Not going to the icu of course but having them throw something big making my mom cry tears of joy. These people are miracle workers.
And she was the prettiest prom queen ever!

Even though this is seven years ago and today she would be 23. How is she doing now? You picked the right colour, the dress is gorgeous and I’m sure you had a blast?! ☺️
She had a long recovery her senior year and beyond in college but I’m proud to say that she’s about to graduate with her masters degree in occupational therapy, something she had to receive herself after her illness. I’m so very proud of my daughter! She has overcame so many obstacles and hurdles like a champ! As a family, we still absolutely LOVE children’s hospital in Omaha and Madison’s younger siblings all go to this hospital and their speciality clinics in Omaha.
I really WISH we had hospitals like this, the hospitals we have are terrible, and the doctors here are useless.

Samantha Murray/ i told i couldn't get to go the prom because other wise my brother would've gone to the prom i felt very uncomfortable with that because he told me to die and that hurts really bad

I had a dance called neon nights and I was in the hospital and I had a date with my best friend to the dance but I was in the hospital so I felt god awful for him because I missed the dance but we went to old Chicago for a first date edit he was very understandin
