I think sounds like it's running right with the mikuni carb. I had a 1980 Ironhead 1000 xlh got to go to my money invest into it 20k + sum. Yours turn out better seeing mine still had the swingarm. My junky younger sister sold it behind my back for $300 so she could get dope while I was in recovery. The title I still have in my name. I don't know how someone could buy a bike without a title or if they could even get it switched over into their name. I got the title right here with me right now maybe I should just report it stolen. You got great taste you did that 80 ironhead AMF justice. I salute you
I love the old school bikes if Harley Davidson brought these bikes back they would get alot more sales. If they put all the old bikes back into production the bikes would fly off the show room floors.
um no they wouldnt. These old bikes need a lot more maintaining. They also cant pass noise or air quality laws. By the way HD is selling plenty of bikes. Try and buy a new Adventure Touring bike. SOLD OUT. Try and buy a new sportster S its also sold out. Waiting list. These old 4 speed machines can keep up. Gotta a ol skool sled? wanna race my twin cam???? get real . I will destroy you. Mine has a gear drive conversion cams , pipes. intake . and remap. You cant keep up. I also own pans shovels and ironheads. Nice bikes. Not in same league as new stuff though.

Harley Davidson was never supposed to be about technology that's why these new bikes they call Harleys are not Harleys I love the knuckle head the pan head the shovel heads the evolution I even love the flat head. Trust me if Harley Davidson started reproduction of these old bikes I gurontee you they would sell faster than these new models. And I bet my entire life savings on that.
Bike is nice but for me those bars must go along with that tank and sissy bar. Bring that front pipe up & over the crank pin and 3" short of the rear pipe.
