Cross rc is junk. All trucks. All models. At least if you plan on using it. My truck rolls back and forth like 9 inches. Real helpful cresting a hill. Please everyone watching. This guy is great. Cross rc is not
Hey Allen. What Cross trucks have you had? I know a particular series that has a weak transmission but it climbs like a Goat. My BC8 Mammoth has been a Beast with a stout transmission, diff gears and very good aluminum axle carriers and such. But I haven't heard anything bad on any-other trucks. You should check out my BC8 video of my using it for yard work. As for durability on this particular Tow-Truck, only time will tell.
@@tomlucasrccrawlers9108 I built the cross rc emo. Looks like a broncoblazer. I know it's lexan. But I got a full interior and was going to go all out. Be different. I was a machinist but got in the plumbers union. I built it nicely. I even tried shims and setting backlash and side to side in tge axles. Trans works as it should but also lots of back and forth play. Sloppy seconds I call it. The body had a kink blemish in it. I only painted it green. Saved my paint and time for a better fight. Instructions were clear and it went together just fine. It's a pile if crap and I rip on cross rc as much as possible. I put a 20 kg pos servo in it and a 1080 hobbywing. I bought a axe setup and 450 oz servo. I put that stuff in a wendigo instead. Go redcat. They never return my emails or phone calls.
Ya I heard about the first rc kits not being so good . They’ve gotten better , I want to get the tow truck , no one else makes a wrecker and long as don’t beat on it use it attended I’m sure it’s fine .
Haven't had a problem with any Cross rigs. But then, I do alot of investigating/research before I buy to make sure they worked out all the bugs. The BC8 Mammoth is a very strong platform and so is all the "Emo X" platforms. Not sure about the plain Emo. Never looked into the "Non-X" Emo's. But the X, X2 and X3's are like an overbuilt TRX4. I'm running alot of torque, so only time will tell if there are weaknesses. Also, I have very little back-&-forth movement. It's way less movement than a TRX4. You'd think it was only a single speed transmission and not a 2-speed. They really tightened the shift-collars. Must've made the gears alot wider on the shift-collars. Sorry for the delayed response. RUclips didn't notify me that I had a message on here.
such amazing tow truck
TY. It's been a really good truck so far.

I'm sure you wouldn't be disappointed. It's really built well and the "X" platform has been around awhile.
