Hi Adi, I saw a few of them in 'br days', but they were quite rare from where I come from. (Souuthport) I went to Preston one day, and a 'clan' came through. Excitement from all the spotters . Happy Days!!!! Nice video, as I always enjoy your presentation. Regards Nigel
I have 1 of each Clan new release and have yet to unpack them! Glad you were happy with yours, they look good, just like the earlier issue of Clans. Hope Hornby will issue 72010 'Hengist' when finished. Nice one Adi
Hi john Hope you are well? Yes this is one of hornby better models they have released in the last few years You just don't know hornby have planned for 2022 Thank you for the kind words Keep safe arp
The reason for the position of the lamp iron to the side was for safety under the new electric wires on the west coast, its not a tool box on the side thats the AWS battery box,Adi
Hi Eric Sorry for the late reply I hope you are well Yes i have brain damage and i struggle to to retain information. So my apologies Thank you for the information Keep safe ARP

Great video. A expensive locomotive but at least it comes in at under £200, so not terrible for such a large high-specification locomotive by today's standards. A service life of only 13 years though, what a waste.
morning Paul hope you are well? yes a big waste and non was saved some of bachmann prices are touching £300 so i read thanks for the kind words keep safe arp
I know the green cylinders and firebox is correct for this loco as I’ve seen a picture of it but I’m not sure the top of the running plate should be green . Even if accurate to me this spoils the look of the loco . The previous version I think was better looking , and possibly more accurate or typical of a Clan . Although based at Carlisle these were frequent runners over the border to Glasgow/ Perth etc hauling trains over Beattock , so it really is a loco I should be interested in , but I’m afraid I just can’t get over the visual intrusion of the green running plate . To me it cheapens the look of the loco , so I won’t be splashing the cash on this one . Good review. Though . Thanks for posting
morning Russell hope you are ok? i cant judge on it but am sure hornby did their research on the class you could always paint it black i guess thanks for the kind words sorry if i get anything wrong keep safe arp
While I'm not keen on the Clan Class, it's a pity none of the engines were preserved. I prefer engines like Duke of Gloucester, Britannia and Angry Ollie (Oliver Cromwell's nickname).😂🙃
Good review of a lovely looking locomotive. Glad to see the build quality seems good. Thanks for showing. Regards Paul.
