That surely *was* a special way to end this video!! RIP Mr. Bearss!!! Otherwise, the audio wasn't *that* bad... I've surely heard worse. I just got finished reading a book on Perryville, and this video helped stir the "inner eye" and paint a picture. Especially the descriptions I read of the stone walls going up the hill near the Bottom house; now I can see them!! Love the work you folks do... and I'm hoping you can get down to Mill Springs?
Thanks for great video! There seems to be a conflict of accounts; the written account that was read said soldiers were operated on in the surgeons tent "outside" the house. The presenter said the arms and legs were thrown from the upstairs Windows...?
Soldiers were operated on in the yard as well as in the house. There is evidence of operations going on in the house. There is blood stains on the wooden floors and on a door under a bed in an upstairs bedroom.
My 3rd Great Grandfather, James M. Leach of the 37th Tennessee Infantry was fighting at that position. Thank you so much for this video! Take care!
do you know where we can get a list of all the soldiers killed in the battle?
Good morning and Happy Thanks Giving.
And to you and yours.
Have a blessed day !!
