I've been having a not-so-great week and this video really cheered me up so thank you Lisa for another wonderful video and for being so honest and authentic. It means more to me and to people like me than you might think
The heirophant bee looks like a queen bee, she would be the one telling all the other bees what to do. The other bees are even tasked with basically handfeeding her while she's busy laying eggs. The queen also decides if and when they move to a new hive, new location. If they do move, the number one priority for the rest of the bees is protecting their queen. The symbolism is very appropriate. I used to be a beekeeper.
I was fortunate enough to live in the Pacific Northwest for like 5 years. The unboxing here of this deck brought back all those amazing memories of my outdoor trail walks whilst living in Bremerton. I’ve been super interested in this deck and it’s super cool to hear your thoughts on it. It feels almost like an animal equivalent to the gentle tarot. I dig it a lot even tho the spider makes me cringe lol. I was very intrigued by and hard lean into the bee on the hierophant. Feels deep and accessible without the problematic triggering of many common clone decks. This is def on my wishlist for awhile now. I love that you discovered a possible slot to fit your seed n sickle deck into as well. To me that is a beautiful tarot experience. Nah all day long then all of a sudden -wow! I'm currently doing a month-long deep-dive into the PNW tarot. I love love this deck!! This morning I did a meditation journey with it (to further connect with the deck) and it was totally highjacked by Brigid. She was like, "nevermind you connecting with this deck, I wanna talk" LOL. So my meditation meant to connect totally turned into a Brigid reading haha. Oh my goodness, I didn't even NOTICE the typo in the book with the Emperor! Not a big deal, but wow am I oblivious sometimes hahaha! The Japanese Beetles for the Devil... I read that as the beetles being tempted to completely consume the plant leaving nothing behind for the younger beetles. That temptation to over-indulge and to think too selfishly. (I got this because these types of beetles are known to completely obliterate these plants, so it made sense to me that this would represent the Devil). The Sun card in this deck is ABSOLUTELY STUNNING and is by far my favorite card in the deck. I gasp every time it shows up for me, because it's just soooo pretty.
Oh man, watching you shuffle these... I really really wish I had bigger hands, lol. I can riffle these, but CANNOT bridge them. I have the hands of a 10 year old (seriously), and they're just TOO SMALL to bridge this deck. In fact, in an attempt to bridge, I accidentally *slightly* bent the King of Cups! 😱It's ok, though! I can hardly see the bend in it. But man, seeing you shuffle makes me so jealous lol!

I really love the Pacific Northwest Tarot, but I don't know if I would really like using it. My first deck ever was an animal deck (Wild Unknown) and we don't get along. The images really don't mean much to me. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Seed and Sickle, though. It's so pretty. I love the art. And the card meanings are great. Dusk is my favorite guidebook too.
I also see them working well with the spacious tarot. Also I’m in Quebec and my bestie is in Vancouver, and I just say west coast as the west is Alberta where I lived for 2 years.

Any guesses about how many decks I have purchased since watching your videos? Lol. b. I think you should make a "How to say no to the 10 decks" or "How to say No to the deck". Because almost everything you show I want them all!
I got this because I have lived in WA all my life. Grew up near Mt. Rainier and now near the Idaho border. And we have many foxes in the region.And WA has every known region known on the planet and I think the only one not in OR is the rainforest, but I could be wrong.
Mt Ranier is such a beautfiul area! My ancestor led the first wagon train to WA state and there's a town in Ranier National Park named after him - they settled there for a time! :D Washington is beautiful!

As someone who lives in newfoundland, I just call it the mainland (which is everything excluding the Atlantic province) unless I'm rerefing to a specific spot, then I'll use the names of the provinces. But besides that , I only hear people use East Cost and West Cost when using directional terms. But, other Canadians may have a different experience. 🤷♀️️
