I still can't believe that this amazing dive location is right next to a city beach! If you want to experience your first proper snorkel or freedive in a controlled place close to the shore, this is it!
In Pula, Croatia, you can find this amazing freediving spot that's so close to the beach that the entrance to this stunning underwater world full of fish is at the point where it's just deep enough to start swimming.
You can simply snorkel at the surface because "Hawaii Beach's" shallow path is just as interesting as the deeper ones. If you want to spend a beach day with the possibility of exploring under water, this is the place for you. If most dive locations seem too hard to reach, this is the beach for you.
This may just be the best beginner freedive location around!

- In Croatian the direct translation, "Havajska plaža," is used. Occasionally the plaža (i.e. beach) is dropped resulting in "Havajsko" which has, for grammatical reasons, an -o at the end.
- The bay/cove where the beach is located is called "Procipina" or "Uvala Procipina" ("uvala" meaning bay) which is sometimes shortened to "U. Procipina."
