once you have made enough signatures, stack them together squarely then just make marks on the folded sides so they are all in the same place. much easier than making a template x

Pause and rewind buttons help immensely. Try it out on a mock journal with pretend signatures first. Just bung 'em all together and use embroidery thread tripled up, or similar. Perhaps don't try it on a journal proper until you feel proficient. Use photocopy paper to practice.

Just followed along to this video and finished my first signature in my first handmade junk journal! I literally shed a few tears of joy. I LOVE journaling so much, but in recent years have really lost my spark for it. This is the most fun I’ve had with a journal in a very long time and I’m so grateful to have discovered this side of the journaling community. I think I’ve finally found my journaling “home” 🤍

Ok so I just realized I'm 4 years late but I just came across your video and it seriously gave me the confidence to bind my first signature with nothing but a metal kabob (used to poke holes in the paper) and some thick twine from the dollar tree. Lol. And I just carefully threaded it through the holes by hand just using my fingers to get it through to the other side just enough to be able to pinch it as it came out and finish pulling it through. It actually turned out super legit and I'm pretty proud of it!
So guys really, if this is something you've been wanting to try, don't be afraid! This video explained it so well I just got in there with what I had and made it work! Thank you!! ❤️❤️❤️

Made 4 holes one the left side and 5 holes on the right side for total 10 signatures. My next step is to make the book block and then the hard cover for it. Trying to make all 10 signatures in the even on the cover for I punched the hole 1/4” in between on the cover. Wishing me good luck and thank you for making this video.

But the question is, that if you already have started a journal, you haven’t got any signatures in them (since you didn’t knew about them) and you’re not even half way through, and you see these lovely signatures and want them to be binded, and what should you do? Make a whole know junk journal, cut out the last pages, finish the journal, or ? I really wanna make a new junk journal with these signatures but I don’t wanna ditch my old art journal! Please tell me what should I do!
