Okay, so actually, I have watched your reaction two days ago, immediately when I saw your notif on ig. But I had to collect myself and have some time to comment. Because OMG THIS GROUP AND YOUR REACTION TO THEM MAKES ME SO DAMN HAPPY 😭 Like I cannot even express how much I love this group. If you'll end up watching boys planet over on patreon, I promise you, you will love this show. I don't want to hype you up too much (even though I've been doing that the last months now - sorry for that 😅), but there was just something different about this season that set it apart form the rest of the produce show. And there were so many charming and talented and likable trainees on the show that I ended up following so many of them after it ended because I want to genuinely support each and every one of those boys on their journey to becoming a kpop idol. Funny thing also about this group, most of my faves didn't even make the cut for the group, some of them even being eliminated quite early on in the show. So this wasn't even my dream line up but now, of course, I can't imagine zb1 any differently. I just really really hope that their company wakeone will know how to handle them and their individual talents and them as a whole group. Because unfortunately they don't have the best history in managing groups and bringing out the potential and colour a group has. I have to give them props for promoting them during their debut because zb1 was EVERYWHERE. They did at least 2 weeks promotions on music shows, went to various variety shows, were invited to lots of festivals (kcon japan, kcon la, then in september they're in warsaw (AND I DON'T HAVE THE TIME TO GO SEE THEM I'M SO SAD 😭)), posted tons of bts on their own channel, they even send taerae to king of masked singer when they weren't even a month old group and gave jiwoong now his own web series!! But I desperately pray that they will just give them GOOD MUSIC AND GOOD CONCEPTS. I really loved this fresh and youthful concept they had for their debut and hope they keep going with it for at least the next comeback because honestly I don't need another typical boy group, with hard hitting, aggressive music or whatever is in now. We've got enough of them. I need wakeone to utilize their vocal abilities because these boys can sing! Like I think all of them are at least decent singers and a lot of them really good to great. I don't want them to be a rap heavy group, I want them tor follow the steps of groups like exo or other 3rd gen groups, with their music. With harmonies, high notes and low notes, and just simply SINGING! And then there's the dance. And I can only 100% agree with you. They need to incorporate some of the waacking and tutting and vogueing into their dances. I want to see the all the sass and attitude that hanbin still has to show as an idol. PLEASE WAKEONE PLEASE!! We all want it, and I'm pretty sure the boys as well, if not at least mother hanbin! Lastly, I just wanna say that they are already on their best way to become the next big thing and maybe even go the same path as wannaone (who were huge at their time, rivaling groups like bts and exo). And we all just wish that they'll stay as a permanent group after their 2.5 year contract ends. And honestly, for the first time, we might not be some delulu kpop fans because considering 4 of the members already being from the same company and the industry listening more and more to the people paying them (the fans), our chances are for once not at 0% hahaha! So I've watched some dance analysis videos of the group. And there seems to be the general consensus that hanbin is the best dancer regarding technique. But since he comes from the waacking and tutting scene (which focuses a lot on the arms), he seems to be pretty stiff doing idol choreography, especially since he is very focused on getting details right (just watch the part at 12:12). So I think it will be interesting to see how his style of dancing will (or maybe even won't, who knows?) change throughout the years as an idol and not just (background) dancer. Btw, he is the one in the white shorts and light blue wind breaker.
Hmmm, that's an interesting point. I think it's always interesting to see the different styles and backgrounds work together in a group. I ACTUALLY don't even want to watch (or re-watch) any more from them cuz I'm so into Boys Planet hahaha. I don't wanna see too much from the final lineup so I can feel like I'm experiencing it in real-time 😂 What a mess lol
