It was the OG Gameboy back in 92 for my sixth birthday! I was loving life. Sadly sold it and the games but managed to get them all again (and then some) with the GBC, DS lite and pocket Gameboy BUT still need that sweet sweet grey OG again!
Someone has played that Tetris game before... Not sure why people continually put the game in those cases upside-down, but it happens far more frequently than you would think.
@@RetroGamerBoy it’s just one of those things! I have multiple of certain leaflets etc and often put them in the same case/ box. Lucky guy. You should frame one (or 2 to show both sides) for that amazing wall of framed things!

I had the original first release gameboy. I’ve still got a boxed one but it’s missing the link cable. Will use your video as a reference as doubt I’ve got all the paperwork. It really is an awesome little console with some amazing games. Super Mario land was great and I loved how the game play got changed up a bit with the submarine and plane levels. Just surprised it’s never been remade. Would have been great for the 35th Mario anniversary. Am trying to collect the play it loud variants at the moment and can’t quite stomach paying an arm and a leg for the Man Utd edition (given its Man Utd!)
This is the most nostalgic box for me ever!! I looked at this box in stores so many times, when I finally got one it was the best feeling ever!! That advert as well, I always remember wanting to stick mine in my back pocket too, but was never stupid enough to 😅
I never had the original Game Boy as a kid, although I always wanted one. I had (and still have) a Game and Watch (Balloon Fight), but my first proper GB was the Colour. I have since added an original to my collection, but the Colour was the first one I owned. On a separate matter, I have always wondered if you have ever hurt yourself in your video signoff? 🤣
The color is awesome. It was developed off of the back of a Doom demo for the original Game Boy. Do I hurt myself... I'm actually 18 with a full head of hair and smooth face, this is what happens if you face plant into the floor every week.

I got the Lime green Color for Christmas in 1999. I actually recently sold it for a modded backlit Gameboy Color!

I would do. The office address on the card is only 20mins away from me, unfortunately though Nintendo moved out in the late 90s 😰

I kinda wanna get a gameboy screen sucks and sounds ain't the best and the ips mods have problems and are pretty pricey
The screen light and magnifying attachment was quite cool. But ya, it's struggles against modern tech.
