Let's take a look at the new custom printed doors and roof from PIXIS design. Are they worth $25? Are they well designed? does it put us a little closer to a Cobra Stinger?? Should you wait?
Greg of Pyxis Designs does awesome work. I was one of his original customers, buying his Wolverine Ripsaw, Watchtower and Flak Cannon when he debuted them. His designs are excellent and he has great customer service. He also updates his designs over time. He’s added windows and improved treads since I bought my original Ripsaw. Have you seen his version of Rolling Thunder? When I saw he designed these, I immediately ordered 2 for both of my VAMPs.
Agree, seems like a pretty upfront and genuine guy … and I’m always about trying to support the smaller businesses :)

Lamborghini is known for it's Butterfly Wing doors, the Delorian was known for Gull Wing doors. They open differently.
Yeah the doors on the OG Vamp were definitely butterfly. I wish these were made like that but I can see why he put the hinge on the top because of the windshield.
Pretty cool. I’m probably going to get that roll cage from Gridiron, at some point. I like that one package with the satellite/surveillance type thing, then you could use one Vamp for scoping out an area

I drilled a hole in a 3d printed figure stand, and put it on the hitch. It’s not perfect from the back, but having someone on those weapons on the top makes a huge difference. Cool review. 🍻
Build a stand out of styrene. It's not hard.
@@therealunclassified Drilling took 1 minute. And it’s easily removable.
The Gridiron roll cage would be a nice addition to your vamp. Those doors made the vamp ready ready to kick some Cobra Hiss tank!

Damn those look good! You could make a VAMP Mark II if you gave it a brown repaint. I also just picked up the OG style cannon from Joedog on ebay.
He needs to print a louver window for the front. That would look sick.
Looks pretty decent for $15, I ordered them and the GridIron rollcage also. Can't wait to get them.
I've got one of his Ripsaw Wolverine's so I ordered this set the minute I saw it. It showed up Today, these along with the Gridiron Roll cage are going to really bump the Vamp up to 11.

It could be some variances in the roll cage from vamp to vamp? The several that I tried on my two vamps seat up pretty good so that is weird its not going in all the way. There are 4 little raised edges on the roll bar that could be interfering with the C attachment as well. I can see how that would be a bit irritating.
Minor issue keep up the good work! I’ll add a magnet and done lol.

@@209edd the doors look incredible. For me them not fitting flush isn’t a deal breaker. I don’t know how you found them but this is great. After your gridiron review I’ll pick up both or just the doors.

I just received this set and mines had no issue with the doors popping outward mines sit flush to the frame when closed. When I saw this vid it had me worried but mines had no issue great review tho much luv 🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡

Good review. Now I regret only buying one Vamp. I just saw a review of that 4×4 Silverado truck you have on #thesavage land. With two Vamps and two of those trucks I won't miss not getting the Vanguard. It's good to have other options now.
This door/roof kit is fine. It doesn't have to be perfect. It's just fun to be able to customize w/o having to take the vehicle apart.

I like those doors man gonna order me a set this week. Thank you for your honest review and for showing this to us I didn't know about it til now when I saw your video. If mine have the same issue I can make it work it might need a little light sanding with a high grit sandpaper in the upper A and B-pillar areas on the inside edge of the doors to get it to seat flush.

I wish the top opening was on the left side of the roof, so you can have someone in the passenger side shooting, while the driver was still driving. The sliding door going to either side would have definitely worked too. Put it to whatever side you wanted it to go for the use.
I have a feeling this vehicle will get a ton more customizations from everywhere including PIXIS I’m looking forward to all of it
Until Hasbro puts the TF version to Target or Walmart/ Target get the Cobra Stinger. Then customizers will be all over the place.

Was a littler worried too with my doors not being flush. But, got mine today and snapped them in. They are perfect! Agreed that the customer service is awesome. Know that these are home made, but to be honest it would bug me a little too. With that said maybe he’ll get you another set?
He is very responsive :) I think we may see an update to this story in the near future!

use a blow dryer to bend the door.
I haven’t played with many 3-D printed parts. Is it possible to heat it slightly and make it tighter
I have manipulated gridirons stuff before … the one caveat with 3-D printed material is it tends to have a much lower melting point than industrial plastic, so you have to be extra careful

The doors need small clips added then it will click. He shouldve thought this out before he printed and sold em for 50
lol .. I hope he doesn’t go to $50 at that point even I’m out .. but for $25 I’ll mess around with it lol
They are actually 25 with shipping so really 19.00. Obviously I want to resolve the problem he is having.

I got mines and did not have this issue at all mines sit flush no popping outward or gap when the doors are closed
