yea that was ridiculous so he is trying to say that every private parking lot cannot tow if the owner of the car is out there acting like a fool they have to go to court.....like the courts really want to deal with that and like the cops want to come to every private parking lot tow based on a court order.....just pain stupid...Johnny made two great points as well trespass the people sine they are not residents and code enforcement would demand that car is moved of fine the property even though it is a private car on private property and if the property owner said "we are going to court and it will be 5 months from now" codes would be writing a ticket and probably weekly and demanding it was towed
@@tritchie6272 absolutely especially because it seemed the car had been there for months Johnny said they were just using the place as junk storage probably because they would get a ticket or towed where they live.....once Johnny said that I would have said officers I want them trespassed ASAP NOW!
That officer definitely had no clue what the law is and you're right they failed the property manager. Not only that but they basically gave the guy their blessing to drive an uninsured/unregistered vehicle SMH Thanks for another awesome video and as Always Stay Safe 🙏 Johnny
I do the same exact towing in Virginia and we have "code enforcement officers" that are above the police and they write the citations as well as authorize the removal of said vehicles. Stay safe ⛓️ Chain Gang ⛓️
I like how the cop said "I can't force him to release his vehicle to be towed." Well you're not forcing him to release the vehicle, it's a NON-CONSENTUAL tow. The property owner doesn't need the consent of the vehicle owner to tow the vehicle. What an idiot cop.
God bless. Happy to see the full length upload. Thought I missed the memo and April Fools Day came early. Loving the green truck. Stay safe out there Johnny. Keeping you and yours in my prayers.
Johnny, I remember a few videos ago when you even showed the code. You should print that out and laminate it and carry it for when you encounter things like that. You could even educate the cops when they show up. Stay safe.
Definitely a terrific idea!! Then if the cops don't understand anything on what the document says about the code then they should ask Elle Woods from Legally Blonde to help them translate it. Lol 😆
You do not understand; the cops don't care. They just don't. The cops "know" what they "know" and are not going to listen to anyone outside the thin blue line gang. Watch some 1st Amendment Audits...
It's not that great of an idea, Johnny has more than enough work to do looking out for his own safety & doing the job he knows best at. It's not his job to train some rookie cop, who probably wasn't paying attention that day in his training class & was more than likely goofing off on a cellphone, rather than paying attention. Unless the Township/City/County/State is going to pay him for his educative services, & time taken away from doing his duties....then sure, great idea if he's gonna be compensated for it.
What a headache of a situation with you, the manager and good job backing that manager up. I agree 100% with what you said. It’s sad that the officers did not know the law on this and they need some retraining. On that vehicle you towed the owner could have park that vehicle in the driveway next to that other vehicle and not in the dirt.
I'm not one to put down cops, but I think they dropped the ball on this one. Gotta be frustrating when you know you're right, but they got the badge and final say.
@saggio Culo: By that cop's same logic if a car is parked on my front lawn of the home where I reside I have no right to tow it because it's a "civil" matter. That cop is a joke and should leave the force NOW. He will have much more dangerous and important split-second decisions to make in the future. He's going to get himself or others killed for his obvious clear lack of knowing the law. I wouldn't trust that cop washing my sidewalk.
@@james6794 but that was not the circumstances. The the car was sitting at his place of residence. So what if the tire is flat and the tags are out of date. What public interest does the government have in forcing a private company to take that individual's property because of some disagreement of the landowner? It's not as if he abandoned it in the middle of the public Street. The police were not wrong, they're upholding the Constitution. What is this? Nazi Germany where you have no rights and I can just take whatever I want on some self made rule list because I don't like you and what you're doing with it, what is the governmental interest in that? By the cops' logic, I can go park my car on any private property without fear of being towed. I can park my car in the middle of McDonald's parking lot, according to the cops. I may park my car there, replace the clutch, etc. haha Obviously the cops are wrong. Nice job, Johnny.
True. Going by the cop's line of reasoning, you could park at your local Walmart and just leave your vehicle there. You could build around it....add an addition.....plant a garden etc and never pay taxes either.
worse I think the cop is saying you have to be there with the car acting like an entitled fool...Johnny needs to roll in hot with the sneaker lift truck at night and its hooked
Many years ago when I lived in a mobile home park we had to keep all vehicles running, up to date inspected, and up to date registration. We were warned when our cars were out of date and given 10 days to update it. After that it got towed. I was told it was because they were considered fire hazards and they don't want their trailer park looking like junk yards.
Pisses me off that the cop clearly doesn't know the law. I hope the cop-shop will use this as a training video to educate their cops. Private property can make their own laws & law enforcement are supposed to enforce the law. Johnny, you were very professional in dealing with that entitled asshat. Good on you.
Your video Johnny will hopefully go a long way in informing Cobb County Law enforcement of their need to retrain on this matter. Great video! Stay Safe and God bless!
Great job. Your right about her right to tow. Cops are right about the civil case law... but the car was not legal with expired tags and the property Mgr wanted it gone so they should back you up. If you go back and sneak it out the cops will tell the car owner the same thing though, "tough it's a civil matter" just like they did you, they're afraid of law suits. Go get em Johnny! Great stuff
Car is on leased land, manager can't have it removed. It was parked in a parking space that's different but it's not it's sitting on the land that's under contract. I can have my vehicle on my property with expired tags and nothing can be done about it.
@@officialtroncasecalculator6184 A land owner can remove any illegal car on their property and their manager can act in their behalf with land owners permission. I wonder what would've happened if you just backed up to it with the wheel lift while the guy was distracted, over there talking with the cop. It should've been the cop's job at that point to stop a confrontation and aggressive maneuvers of the owner trying to physically stop Johnny. I can't imagine the cop not doing anything at that point.
This was a big thing in the U.K. until SORN. Statutory Off The Road Notice is like a ‘not a license plate’ where the motor vehicle is still in the system. If it is off highway without Road Tax or SORN it’s dragged away to be crushed. It covers motorbikes illegal wheeling as well.
Definitely sad….and some are also too quick to throw the cuffs on when ignorant of the law, and unwilling to take them off out of pride when they’re wrong!
Actually they sided properly. It is a civil issue and everyone has a constitutional right to their own property. The property manager has a right to ask for it to be towed but the vehicle owner has every right to prevent it from being stolen by petty tyrants.
@@CeeWorld69 no, not even once. I just have a different opinion on the matter than all the sheep that circle jerk each other in these comments. The only time someone did try to tow me I sued the apartment complex successfully. It was a civil matter and the lease makes the lot/unit/reasonable amount of parking space my psuedo property. At least in Texas that is. I've also known a ton of tow drivers personally and it's a scam. Look how this operator drools all over himself and will even argue with police just to get a tow. This guy litteraly gets off on "yanking" peoples property. If you don't see a problem with that and the self flagellation for the rules present in these video and these comments then you clearly don't understand property rights and would probably shoot up experimental cocktails just bc the government told you its good. Must be frustrating for all involved. I'd hate to live next door to someone with a junker car that the management couldn't remove. Wow. Keep safe out there.
I hope there's a follow up on this one. Wow, it was REALLY hard to miss the conceited attitude coming from that cop. He made up his mind that he was right, before you even finished your side. IMO, if he would have handled that with a better attitude, right or wrong, it wouldn't have left such a bad impression. I think SOME cops need to work on their "car-side" manner, in these times we're living in. As per usual, YOU were completely professional! 💯!
This happened to me when someone tried to blocked the driveway to our hay field. First cop was not going to do anything, we called for his boss to come out and the first cop was wrong!!!😄😄
In the cop's defense though, this is one of the times Johnny's communication slipped up. He repeated himself, then demanded a sergeant, which happens to be the entitlement routine cops hear 2-3 times a week every week. As a result "We back our colleagues and don't change our mind if they go entitled" becomes an embedded routine. It would've been easier to simply start the tow, wait for the guy to attack and then you've got something no sane cop will stay absent from.
Sometimes the best thing to do, when the law fails you, is move along, don’t waste time, and get on towing. There are more cars waiting to get towed. Let the less informed work it out. When they need ya, they’ll holler. Stay safe and stay vigilant! Thank you for all you do, Johnny! God bless!!
Sir. You do a very Difficult job with style and integrity. Thank you. As a person who had to deal with handycap cheating, and those dummies, you do an important job. Thanks again.
What good is a cop who won't do his job because of his ignorance of the law. Maybe the manager should write a letter to the Chief of Police to get it clarified "in writing" and have his response in her hand next time this happens in this property so she can school his officers. She should quote the code in her letter.
Property manager should have a lawer contact that sheriffs office and fill them in on the towing laws and how private property works. Awesome job and staying calm and standing your ground.

Cop is confused, and the other cop likely taught him inaccurate police duties and interpretation of the law. Police responsibility here is to maintain public order by allowing the proper authority to tow the car. The property manager is the authority and has the right to enforce the association rules. Private residence living in a community agree to abide by the HOA rules and regulations. Furthermore, the police lecture about ‘civil matter’ should have been conveyed to the car owner as recourse to redress the matter with the courts.
@@pontificusvascillious5287 Cite law enforcement “statute”? What in the world are you trying to say? You were right, Johnny, and the cop was wrong. I was glad to see you handled the situation professionally, though, and left them to sort it out. I'm guessing the property manager will be having a chat to someone higher up the police department ladder, in order to have this resolved.
They should just wait a couple of hours and send in the snatch truck. Would not take more than a few seconds to get it hooked and in the air, and then, if the owner came out, he would be able to do nothing, as the car was already loaded.
The property manager appears to have nothing but time on her hands. She is clearly miserable and giving her tenantsA headache. The vehicle is parked in a parking spot at his family members home. The car is not bothering anyone and it does not pose as a hazard and it's not blocking anything so WTF is the problem? The property manager needs to be more focused on investing money into those trailers and renovating them because they look like trash. She should be more concerned about more serious stuff than someone's parked car. She is losing sleep on trying to place more financial hardships on her tenants and their guest,by f*cking with their vehicles. She must don't have a life. This is ridiculous 😒. She wouldn't make it out here in Chicago
No shit, the cops can never recommend a trespass. That has be requested by the property manager. If the manager was willing to do it, then he would have to leave or be arrested. BUT if the guy CLAIMED to be living there, it becomes a massive mess as tenant laws come into effect. I think that's why the manager is smart NOT to request a trespass.

The officers more less said anyone can park a car on private property and the property owner cant have the vehicle towed. I did find it interesting how the officers were ok with someone driving a car that isn't street legal. Crap like this is the reason people lose respect for police
“POLice” are used to enforce POLitical POLicy. They POLarize the public to help facilitate control of the ruling class. They aren’t a group of concerned citizens taking care of their community, even if some claim so. It’s impossible to be altruistic and work for ANY government. “Govern” means “control” and “ment” means “mental/mind.” Government LITERALLY MEANS MIND CONTROL. They’re armed enforcers of man-made laws, created to keep people under control. That’s it.
Wow. The officers were so set in their beliefs that they wouldn't even make a call to Code Enforcement or another officer that has experience with PP towing. Chips with egos are the most dangerous. I hope the manager makes a complaint against him. Peace!! ✌️
Hey boss long time no post. Good to see you still out there truckin. Told that cop too don’t know what he talking bout Lmaoo. It’s so simple it’s being yanked lmaooo
His daughter can be evicted for breach of lease. If she owns the trailer she would be evicted from living there and given a set amount of time to either sell it to a park approved buyer or remove the home.
So much for getting the sergeant out there . What a joke . He seemed to defer to his underling in the whole ridiculous thing . If I was the owner of that park I would not renew their lease .
SO-according to that officer I can take MY car, park it on the officer's property and the officer CANNOT legally have it towed off his property? Sorry, that's not how it works.
Your comment is not analogous with what happened in the video. The cops are saying the leasee and legal resident of the property is allowing the man to have his vehicle on their property. The manager is saying otherwise. It's not a criminal matter, it's a civil matter, meaning there's no criminal law to enforce. The cop was right. They cannot force the owner of the vehicle to relinquish it since they are allowed to be there by the resident.

yea that was ridiculous so he is trying to say that every private parking lot cannot tow if the owner of the car is out there acting like a fool they have to go to court.....like the courts really want to deal with that and like the cops want to come to every private parking lot tow based on a court order.....just pain stupid...Johnny made two great points as well trespass the people sine they are not residents and code enforcement would demand that car is moved of fine the property even though it is a private car on private property and if the property owner said "we are going to court and it will be 5 months from now" codes would be writing a ticket and probably weekly and demanding it was towed
@@rodrod383 If I was the manager I would probably have been tempted to trespass him.
@@tritchie6272 absolutely especially because it seemed the car had been there for months Johnny said they were just using the place as junk storage probably because they would get a ticket or towed where they live.....once Johnny said that I would have said officers I want them trespassed ASAP NOW!
What law? The cops can enforce a trespass, they can't physically restrain the guy. Manager has to trespass the guy.
Never fear Johnny Cool is here...
Always fair and knows the laws of towing better than the police...Keep trucking Johnny and God Bless.
Those cops need a lesson from Johnny and towtrucker family lol I believe cop was wrong even seargent!☮️
That officer definitely had no clue what the law is and you're right they failed the property manager. Not only that but they basically gave the guy their blessing to drive an uninsured/unregistered vehicle SMH Thanks for another awesome video and as Always Stay Safe 🙏 Johnny
I would love to see an update on that tenant! It’s so frustrating when law enforcement are just not educated on these kind of situations!!
I do the same exact towing in Virginia and we have "code enforcement officers" that are above the police and they write the citations as well as authorize the removal of said vehicles. Stay safe
⛓️ Chain Gang ⛓️
I like how the cop said "I can't force him to release his vehicle to be towed." Well you're not forcing him to release the vehicle, it's a NON-CONSENTUAL tow. The property owner doesn't need the consent of the vehicle owner to tow the vehicle. What an idiot cop.
if the property has rules & he doesn't wish to follow, tell him to drag his trailer off to another park.
Lots of them around!
Not only the police officer but his sargeant. Keystone cops ride again.

They should put a sign.. any unauthorized vehicles will be towed. Maybe that'll help.
Johnny, I remember a few videos ago when you even showed the code. You should print that out and laminate it and carry it for when you encounter things like that. You could even educate the cops when they show up. Stay safe.
Great idea!
That's is an awesome idea!!!
Not necessarily the final say. This could be brought to the local govt council, who should correct them.

McDonald's can trespass you off the lot and then tow your car.

Many years ago when I lived in a mobile home park we had to keep all vehicles running, up to date inspected, and up to date registration. We were warned when our cars were out of date and given 10 days to update it. After that it got towed.
Great stuff
Too bad that 97% of the commenters don't realize this. They would much rather see the cops pepper spray the guy.
Car is on leased land, manager can't have it removed. It was parked in a parking space that's different but it's not it's sitting on the land that's under contract. I can have my vehicle on my property with expired tags and nothing can be done about it.

@@CapitanGreenhat Who hurt you Karen? They towed you huh?
@@CeeWorld69 no, not even once. I just have a different opinion on the matter than all the sheep that circle jerk each other in these comments. The only time someone did try to tow me I sued the apartment complex successfully. It was a civil matter and the lease makes the lot/unit/reasonable amount of parking space my psuedo property. At least in Texas that is. I've also known a ton of tow drivers personally and it's a scam. Look how this operator drools all over himself and will even argue with police just to get a tow.
Some people have no business being cops.
God bless!!

Furthermore, the police lecture about ‘civil matter’ should have been conveyed to the car owner as recourse to redress the matter with the courts.
can you cite the statute where LEOs have this responsibility to the execution of private property rules/regulations?
@@pontificusvascillious5287

That is a very nice trailer park! Beats the ones around my neighborhood for sure.
The cop shut up real quick when you told the manager that she could have the guy trespassed from the property.
Why would the police trespass the guy from the property? Under what authority? These comments in here are baffling.
