Thanks for sharing your ups and downs. It was a reminder to take it easy on myself when I slip backward a little. I’m glad you’re feeling a bit better.

Thanks my man. It's a reminder we may need pretty often, and there's nothing wrong with that :) I hope you're feeling pretty well yourself!

Glad to see another video from you. I am also glad to see that you have kept moving forward even though you had a setback. You have some great ideas and am sure you will get some positive feedback from them. Keep hanging in there. 😊

Great post friend, thanks for putting yourself out here like this, it's great to hear all your thoughts on good days and bad. You sound like me so much, I've been learning a lot. I think an online meetup would be a great idea, it would allow your group to meet more often, and this might be a good springboard for y'all to find something less scary to meet up and do together. One last thing, make sure you add a calendar reminder thingy on here for your live stream! Lots of us are ADHDers and there's no way I'd remember otherwise. Thanks again for sharing your life with us, keep posting! :)

Thanks man :) The interviewer will be the one streaming in this case, but I'll look into the best way for sharing a reminder! And I hope to have a link to the video to share after it's over as well.

Good to see you back Jake. I would be interested in the online group. It would be really nice to talk to people who truly understand what I go through.

Thanks for sharing, not been watching your vids long but really appreciate your work. There's not many avoidant people out there who will put themselves out in public like you do. I self diagnosed about 16 years ago as it was pretty obvious to me at least. Certain aspects of my anxiety have improved over the years, others not so much, but still hanging in there 😅. Would definitely be interested in joining a discord support group as I find cbt pretty repetative and quite limited.

I think some sort of Discord server for AvPD people should exist anyway. Not necessarily as a replacement for an offline support group. Just in general. I'd definitely join. I'd probably make one if I weren't too depressed to do anything right now.

To me it makes sense that someone with anxiety or AvPD would cancel at the last minute. Even though it was a bad experience for you, it was probably not great for them either.

You're absolutely right. It can just be hard to know what the solution might be.

Hi! Is there anyway to contact you? I’m really passionate about educating people on personality disorders and I think the parallels between avpd and when I (npd) self isolate are very interesting and I’d love to do a video with you!

Oh man, I'm sorry to hear no one showed up Jake. Hopefully this won't discourage you, but it's our society. Plan an event for a bunch of social extroverts, and still 80% will bail at the last minute (if there are all mostly strangers that is. If they are friends then there is higher accountability and more likely to show). Even with my close friends from college, it is sooo hard to get together. Always one of us is sick, or a work thing came up, or someone's child is sick. I say all that not to discourage you, but to let you know how common it is. Add into it, people who have high anxiety, and more likely to see people not show up, but at least you got them thinking about it, and they probably really wanted to show up. And if you are the planner, then it is discouraging. Keep at it, I'm sure you will get them to come! I'm catching up on your videos and it's really cool to see you smile and how much happier you seem to be! :)
