This makes it pretty obvious that this was meant to be a spiritual successor to DKC’s Aquatic Ambience. It really wouldn’t surprise me if it was originally going to be used for all the water stages, before they decided to remake the DKC song.
To make it look authentic, they'd have to make 3d models for everything and then convert the renderings into snes sprites. I would be able to make the models, but I wouldn't know how to compress the images to look "snessy"

This game really is DKC 1 1/2. It takes place right after the original and even gives me the same vibes. After many years of playing the original this was what I needed. An extra bit of more island exploration at a harder experience.

Those songs are in ALTTP though. Some of the instruments even sound just like the SNES sound fonts. I mean, the first one does have a part that's unique to that game, but I wouldn't re-do a whole song just for a 15-second bit. I may as well do the new bit and insert it directly into the original SNES track, just not worth it IMO. And yeah Minish cap is good too.
I'd love to do zelda eventually, but I don't have time atm. and if we're talking FSA, I'll probably only do the Lake Hylia theme, since that's kind of the main overworld theme of that game

This was real good! I had always liked this piece from DKL and didn't like that it never got the same shine that some of the other DK music got.

It was in the Game Boy Color version of Donkey Kong Country actually.
Soundfonts remind me of Maridia from Super Metroid. Good stuff.
I don't know why but this SNES remix reminds of 80s movie music score or early 90s video games music, though this was the mid 90s practically.
