Yes... you can use any vegetable oil but the Best transparency comes from coconut oil

Sadly, my mix of caustic soda plus distilled water with the coconut oil using double- boiling method did not form a solid base for me at all. It's semi-liquid like pap. Do I still need to add more caustic or get a thickening agent to help solve the matter?
