Toby, thank you for making more than our days! That was awesome! That was really special. We both have always wanted to do that. Hope all is well today and thank you so much for watching. We will see you next time my friend! Happy Halloween.!
I love the Tower of Terror; I was there when it first opened with Elvira and her friends! My friends that I worked with decided to take a last-minute trip to Florida and went right to the Tower of Terror in 1994! It is a blast, that day we were able to go on it a bunch of times as nobody else was there except Elvira! I loved when it opened at the top, then we went right down! I love that Cris was recognized by Toby, how cool!
Three times in one day, that’s the way to celebrate 30 years! Seeing this made me wish for the days we still had ours at DCA. Nothing against the Guardians, but it ain’t no Tower of Terror! And Toby is an instant legend in my book👍🏼
I have loved the Tower of Terror for 30 years! The Tower opened with lap bars that went across everyone in the row. There was only one seat with a seatbelt, and that was the top center seat. Being a large man, the seatbelt was my seat of choice. If I sat in the regular seats, everyone else in my row would fly. After a few years, they changed them all to seatbelts for safety reasons. And you were right, there was only one drop when it opened. You flew to the top of the shaft, there were special effects, and then you dropped to the bottom and were done. They've changed the drop sequence multiple times since then.
I rode this attraction several times back in the old days when I was a kid and as a teenager both in California and of course here at Hollywood Studios. I’m 26 now and I rode it again 2 months ago on May 29th and was still a blast to ride! Thank you for uploading this amazing video, and happy 30th birthday Tower of Terror! 🥳🎉🏨🛎👻🕸⚡️
🖤🖤🖤 Those pictures were really cool. The last picture you were standing behind the desk.I think you should blow that up and frame it like in a black frame like a creepy black frame. I can't wait to go in september. All the pictures were really, really good. But I like the last one with all the spider webs.
I rode that for the first time in October of '94. What a BLAST! Thanks for taking us along for it's 30th birthday of sorts. I have to say, I think that it was scarier when they did one drop. I remember the "doors" opening at the top and just as you were getting a nice view of the park, there was a lurch and a loooooooooooong drop! Oh, nice job to the numbnuts at 5:40 who cut right in front of your shot. Sheesh...some people's kids.
I was at studios back in 2009. It's was a very rainy day. The park was empty. I rode the Tower six times in a row. It was so fun! The cast members started recognizing me. Lol. That was so cool to get that tour of the lobby!
Fun fact: Burgess Meredith and Jack Klugman tied for the most amount of episodes appeared in the original 'Twilight Zone.' Both starred in four episodes. Additionally, Burgess Meredith was the Rod Serlingesque narrator in the 1983 'Twilight Zone' movie.
This looks like such a fun ride. I was in Disney 15 years ago but wasn't able to ride hardly anything because of being pregnant with twins. So thank you for putting together this video. I really enjoyed it. Started watching you and Chris's videos... And I absolutely love them as I also am a spooky fan and a Halloween lover 🧟
YES there were lap bars. ONE seat in the back in the middle was the seat bell seat. By the way I am Mark Silverman the Rod Serling voice guy. Great video.
Hey Mark , it’s amazing to have you here! What an honor and thank you so much for the info. We were really curious about the lap bars! Thank you. Hope all is well with you, my friend!
You know what my best memory of Tower is , the sign they used to have when you would drive on WDW property. It was so nostalgic, and it was the first thing that got me excited for my vacation.
I remember being on the park the Summer of 1990...I think...Dick Tracy had just come out. I remember seeing a billboard or something for the coming Tower of Terror and being so scared of it! I did eventually ride it in 2003, I prefer Small World or Peter Pan....I am not made for thrill rides...haha
I rode it back when it was new and had lap bars and me and my mate Lea learnt never have a huge hot dog before riding it. As a side note, I bought a HTH wrap around towel at least 25 years ago and it is still in such good condition after all these years of usage and adds to my spooky bath time vibes perfectly.
Thanks so much for the ride tour, Jay... I have seen it before when you showed us the full-ride tour, but this time was so much fun as well, especially with the super amount of drops :) I appreciate you showing us the full experience since I will likely not be down there to ride it. At least I can enjoy the ride through your eyes and excitement. It has been over 40 years since I have even been to Disney World and the Hollywood Studios did not exist LOL Plus what a great bonus to get into the Lobby and get so close up to everything. That was by far the coolest part :) Have a great one and keep it up
I went the opening week. I spent the day just going through the line over and over ( that was after the obligatory Indiana Jones in the morning) I remember being really small and the lap bar was loose if someone large sat next to you and I would feel like I was about to fly out of my seat. Probably the best rush I would have until I was in my twenties
Fell in love with ToT at 12 years old. Funny story, first ride was with my dad and the ride malfunctioned and I thought it was just a part of the story. 😆 I had no idea what was going on. We had to exit and get on a different elevator. This was during the 25th Anniversary of Disney World so they were doing something special with the ride and you got the full drops. Nothing like going on and having those randomized full drops. LOVE IT!!! FYI - it was lap bars back when your booty would come all the way out of the seat. Then they put in the stinkin seat belts. Booooo LOL
Hey Jay, happy birthday to the tower of terror man!!!!!! God, I wish I was there with you right now today I’m gonna watch the tower of terror movie again with my buddy Hailey and this is so exciting 30 years ago on this day in 1994 the twilight zone Tower of terror officially opened the doors
If you guys ever make it out to Vegas, as fellow Tower of Terror lovers, you guys are invited to tour my own personal Tower of Terror recreation that has been constantly growing over the past five years.
When I went on tower of terror for the first time it dropped me 6 times before the final drop and the 2nd time it dropped me 4 time before the final drop so when ever I get a chance to go to Hollywood studio I have to ride the ride before I leave the park
13:04 I wanted a tower robe 👘 so badly… I bought one ☝️ 😊 However it’s a souvenir and not a very absorbing material for a shower 🚿 or bath 🛁. Also the material sheds worse than an exotic leopard cat 🐈⬛. If you get one (robe) remember it’s going to be decoration 😮
You know I had to pass once and although the haunted Mansion is amazing, it's so old. I do love still going there but they need to update it somehow and make it different but still awesome and then the Tower of terror. It's cool it is but not too happy with just the drop off like okay. You're sitting with a whole bunch of people and the thing just drops down okay. It's still fun but boring if you know what I mean. And Jay, if you read this, how do I contact you? Can I please contact you internally?
Jay, so great to see your incredible enthusiasm for this ride! Your absolute love of this attraction is amazing! Like Cris, I too love Haunted Mansion, but I do agree that the backstory and the wonderful design elements of the queue area, lobby, etc, are truly amazing. All the thought and details and the many Easter Eggs from the original Twilight Zone TV show make just waiting in line an entertaining part of the ride. It was so cool they let you and Cris into some of the areas where normally people can’t go. So glad you got to ride it three times, once for each decade. Look forward to your upcoming Adventures! Safe journeys. 👋
Awesome vlog TJ! Wish I could ride ToT but like Cris, I can't do it anymore! Thanks for taking me along! Your a lucky guy, Cris is a beautiful young woman! You guys take care and keep up the good work.
Hi Tampa Jay and Chris the girl this video 📹 of the tower of terror the haunted mansion was so awesome thanks for taking us with you and Chris the girl love watching your videos from Michelle over here in Nottingham in England 🇬🇧 can't wait to watch your next video 😀 😊😅😂❤❤❤❤
Always love hearing the opening words 'for today's creature feature.'👾Spook season is getting closer and closer. T.o.T. is a great attraction. Happy 30th year anniversary. 😱
Happy Birthday to my favorite ride attraction at WDW! instagram.com/tampajay
indeed Happy Birthday to the ride
It was my pleasure to be able to give you a little tour around the hotel. Feel free to drop in again sometime soon. 🛎️⚡️🌀

One time they showed the final screen and we thought it was done and then they shot us back up. Definitely the COOLEST ride we’ve ever done on TOT.

Love love the energy of that second ride. Whenever that happens it makes it 10 times better. Best time of your life.
I freakinLove this !!! Thank you Jay and Cris! Happy Birthday and Happy Halloween!!
Thank you happy Halloween. We appreciate you.

Talking Tina was terrifying when I was young. I cant rewatch it I know
It's almost spooky season!!!!!!!!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Isn't that place really haunted? Lol.
So loving this Jay! Yayyyyyy🖤🐈⬛
I love the Twilight Zone, its the best sci fi tv series ever. Just timeless.
Way ahead of its time. And as you stated, still holds up well today.
I loved this ride. I was devastated when they closed it at California Adventure and turned it into Guardians of the Galaxy. 😵💫
This looks like such a fun ride. I was in Disney 15 years ago but wasn't able to ride hardly anything because of being pregnant with twins. So thank you for putting together this video. Tower of Terror is still my favorite ride at WDW.. Great Video!
Aww you guys!! I loved the tour at the end. It actual made me tear up. You both are such a light. Thank you for sharing.
You know what my best memory of Tower is , the sign they used to have when you would drive on WDW property. It was so nostalgic, and it was the first thing that got me excited for my vacation.
People screaming at the top of their lungs and Tampa Jay yells out "Happy Birthday!" 🤣 I miss that ride! Appreciate you celebrating its 30th with us 🎉
I’m terrified of the ride but I love everything else including the theming and the movie.
Hope y’all are ok with Hurricane Debby. Sending love and prayers!!
Getting closer to spooky . I love the tower of terror in Florida. When Disneyland opened there it wasn't as good as Florida
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

The Haunted Mansion looks really scary from the parking lot and this
is going to be awesome with the Tower of Terror thanks Jay.🇺🇲👋
