Utica, NY has a Freightliner dealership, a Mack Truck service dealership, a Peterbilt Dealership...no Volvos, maybe Kenworths. No Western Stars.
The problem going on forever remains the same namely the cost of servicing the Fleet.
There is no problem with availability provided you're buying locally.
Lot's of good Class B's out there.
Might be a great many if some of these massive Trucking Companies suddenly go bust
(Swift, Werner, Schneider etc.) but make no mistake the USA is in a massive recession at the moment due to inflation.
"No one can afford the vehicles let alone afford to run them at the moment" the one exception being the Government (Plow trucks for sand and snow, postal vehicle fleet) so there are no shortages of Class 8's in reality just a huge fluster cluck glut of containers and Detroit Product trying to be sold at ridiculously over-price.

I don’t know what you mean by locally. People are buying equipment anywhere than can and for almost any amount asked. Equipment is scarce. I see a few used trucks here and there. They go for about $30k-$36k more than they have sold for in the past.
You can’t find a trailer to save your life.
