Anikode is a peaceful and serene village, just 12kms away from Palakkad town. The place is gifted with river, paddy fields, greeneries and serene atmosphere. Still we can experience the traditional culture of Palakkad and there are plenty of traditional houses maintained well in Anikode.
Anchumurthy temple, a divine spark of Anikode village of Mathur panchayath in Palakkad district, more than 1000 year old temple, where Lord Ganapathy, Lord Shiva, Parvati devi, Lord Vishnu, and Lord Ayyappa are worshiped with equal relevance. This temple locates in the lap of nature, on the banks of Nila river, which flows northwards. Nila river is worshiped here as Holy Ganga. This temple is an example to show, how a temple can be restored by blending the basic noble values of our rich heritage, with minimum expense. Thanks to Sri. Shyam Chaithanya, this temple is a role model for all other temples as their main aim is to serve the society and nature.
