I have a 2013 sterling Eccles voyager, My leisure battery over heated badly at the weekend to the extent that we smelt the problem 1st then the battery was so hot that it could not be removed until it cooled down. I have all the standard equipment on the van & a small solar panel so I have not changed any thing & we are out in the van every 2nd weekend with no issue. I took the battery that I thought would be cooked to Halford to my surprise the battery was flat ?? can you please advise on my best action thanks.
Hi Dave, maybe worth getting a second opinion, normally they will swell also, so you will see a slight bulge at the sides. It all sounds like the battery is faulty.
Iv found my van had a leak, I noticed that the paper near the window had started to go blue. I found the sealant had come away around corner of the rail above the front window. I cleansed it off and resealed but my question is what’s the best thing to do? It’s a 2009 van, dry otherwise and it’s a very small area that shouldn’t get any more moisture in it now. Just worried now that the vans ruined
Hi Matt, might be worth having a proper damp check, this will pin point any other areas, if any, then just keeping an eye on it and make sure it's not leaking from anywhere else. 👍
Impressive set up,,
