andrewm 7691 I just seen him live in Brandon, Mississippi. And even though he’s older now, the man can still put on a hell of a show! Best concert of my life
I'm with ya 100% Best live show there was he could do it all .. Garth couldn't touch him had records been counted digitally like the are today Hank would be the all time biggest seller in country... 9 albums on the billboard charts at the same time... AMAZING
You all know an outlaw like this amazing man will never be recognised. He's truth. He's country. He's blues. He's his daddy in a different pair of shoes... It's Jr
I've seen him 3 different times over the years. First time in 92 in Knoxville, Tn. he was fantastic. The second time he closed the show at the Rock The Smokey's concert in 96' in Newport, Tn. in a line-up that included .38 Special, Marshall Tucker Band, Charlie Daniels Band, Marty Stuart, Travis Tritt, and Hank, Jr. He put on an incredible show that night. The third time I saw him was in 2003 at Riverbend in Cincinnati, Ohio as the opening act for Skynyrd and he was drunk as Cooter Brown and totally sucked if I'm being honest. Skynyrd was really good that night though.
Bocephus! The first, and only Five Time Consecutive "Entertainer Of The Year" with 4 Emmy's, 10 Grammy's, 10 #1 Singles, 13 #1 Albums, 20 Gold Albums, 6 Platinum Albums, and was the voice for ESPN's Monday Night Football theme song for 22 years, making it the longest running theme song for an active series in the history of television. Not to mention, the guy has also fallen 540 feet down Ajax Mountain, and survived. As David Allan Coe would sing, "IF THAT AIN'T COUNTRY, I'LL KISS YOUR ASS."
Daniel Smith What's with Goodell, anyway? Lets that asshole Kaepernick and his pals take knees during the Anthem, but gigs a guy for changing his cleats to honor the 9/11 dead. I won't watch NFL either. Plenty of college ball on.
I was there on the USS Constellation for this concert it was awesome Hank Williams jr. Alabama Sylvia Gus Hardin best concert I've ever been to this was when the ship was in Port in Coronado California back in 84
One of my favorite bocephus songs for sure hell they're all my favorite songs I can't stop listening to weatherman can't get out of my head it's like he's singing the words to my Life
WOW! I had this on VHS and watched it all the time for YEARS! When it got accidentally destroyed I was devastated. Thank you so much for letting me re live this great piece of my youth!!
Great song, great performance! I prefer this live version over the record because it's got such an emotional drive to it. I would love to have this whole show's audio in my iTunes.
Like him so much in high school went to four of his concerts in the '90s and every one of them was kick ass that man can play music every instrument on the stage can you say country music royalty three generations wide that's right 3,"s a badass 2
opinions are like heartbeats everybody got one but people say he is nothing like his dad.well the way I see it if they took a accidental nose dive off a 7 hundred foot cliff face first and yet cotiued be one of the best in the business.then not only do I like your music which he can play 20 plus instruments I have a lot of respect for the man.so my opinion is I think he might just have turned out Just a lil better than senior .
He worked for years to get his own music in his own sound to get from underneath his father when he got out there everybody expected his father's music but he worked for many years and has his own sound his own songsand maybe a couple hundred Hank senior left laying around
No better no worse. Without his daddy footprints who knows who Bocephus would be. Who knows what county music will be. I'm all over the board with music and country my roots but if you listen to even the heaviest of music you'll find a song they tribute those like hank and Willie and Waylon. All soul just different ears 💜
I was at this concert aboard the USS Constellation in 1984. The ship was docked at NAS North Island, Coronado, CA. Best concert ever. Alabama and other groups performed. Thanks for posting this.
It was a great concert by a great performer. My daddy raised me on your daddy's songs (along with lots of fried squirrel, catfish and cornbread) Thanks Bocephus!
Please post more Hank live! Anything. His recordings make most of my nights bareable. Thanks for this one. Never heard this live version before. Listened to it for about an hour.....
Wow love this one again, hey Superman, where r u? Know how it is, u r so true!Bocephus can Handle it all, keep listening all u fellow fans, ain't that the truth?!
He gave country a big kick in the ass and showed them through all the odds that he would come out on top Hell yeah hank Jr your the man. COUNTRY BOY CAN SURVIVE
Thank you for the endless support and your nice comments. I sincerely appreciate you. It is an honor to have you as a fan. Thank you for the support and love ♥️
I think ..well I know that it was only Waylon who had the balls to tell Hank JR that he had surpassed his dad..and he certainly lived longer and wrote more songs and made more money.Only time will tell if his contribution matches the old man. But He is his fathers son and has influenced a couple of generations of new country artists and he most certainly changed the direction of country...I think I gotta agree with Waylon.
There has never been a more powerful voice in the history of country music!!!
Hank really has some authority in that voice....it's probably the most perfect outlaw country voice you could ever ask for.

This man is the best outlaw country singer of all time
He’s one of the best musicians I’ve ever seen. He can play every instrument on the stage
Garth who? No one ever put on a better show than Hank Jr. Put this man in the Country Music Hall of Fame. NOW!!!!!

His absence from the "hof" makes the "hof" insignificant and not worthy of Hank Jr.

probably the realest song Hank ever sang...and with the changes on this one he opens himself up even more...
Yes sir he was the best of the best. Undoubtedly the most known, recognized, and the realest country star to ever live.
One of his best live performances ever. Glad it was with a crowd that loved it.
Is there any crowd that doesn't like a good hank jr concert?
You can feel hank jr s pain in this one for sure. He pours out the heart and soul just like his Daddy.

You left out the ONLY artist to ever have 9 albums on the chart at the same time!
And he lost a good gig with ESPN instead of kissing Obama's ass. "IF THAT AIN'T COUNTRY, I'LL KISS YOUR ASS."
correction, espn lost a good gig with hank jr.
myself, i haven't watched an nfl game since.
Daniel Smith What's with Goodell, anyway? Lets that asshole Kaepernick and his pals take knees during the Anthem, but gigs a guy for changing his cleats to honor the 9/11 dead. I won't watch NFL either. Plenty of college ball on.

Legendary performance by hank! My favorite of all time followed close by Waylon
